"Come on Lachie, what are you doing?" I question as I wait in the car for Lachie.
I have been sitting in the car for about 15 minutes now waiting for Lachie to finish getting ready. I asked him to be ready at 8, I messaged him before I got in the car and he said that he was ready, but he lied to me. I never realized how disorganised this guy is.
I pick up my phone and dial Lachie's number.
"What is it?" He questions. I hear what sounds like a shower on in the background.
"Are you in the shower?" I asked frustrated.
"I just got out, I just haven't turned it off yet" He says
"Wow, just wow" I say in disbelief
"What? You could come inside and wait" He says
"I would've come in earlier if you hadn't of told me you were ready like ten times" I say getting out of my car and slamming my door so that Lachie can hear my frustration.
"I'm sorry okay, but I always do stuff last minute" He says as he laughs
"You don't say, but I'm at the door" I say
"The door is unlocked" Lachie tells me.
"Why is it unlocked? You never know who is around and could wonder in" I say
"Well, I've actually had someone walk in before" Lachie says laughing
"Oh my god Lachie, I worry about you sometimes" I say as I laugh along with him. I open the door and hang up on Lachie.
"Why do you have to be an idiot sometimes?" I ask myself as I walk into Lachie's house. I close the door behind me and make sure to actually lock it so that no one actually walks in.
Lachie can be so unorganised. I honestly have no clue how he gets to school on time without his mom being here, it's crazy to think that Lachie actually gets up and goes to school. I would have thought that his mom would be there to get him up and getting to school on time, but she is always at work in the morning. I have no idea how he does it considering that he takes this long to get ready.
Has I walk into the living room, there are a bunch more pictures up on the wall than usual. It is manly just of Lachie and his dad because his dad passed away just a little over two years ago, so I guess it is understandable.
I get to the living room and take a sit on the couch to wait for Lachie to finish getting ready. I have no clue how much longer this boy will take, but I hope that he does not take too much longer. I just want to talk to him about Maddy.
"Lachie how much longer are you going to take. I really need to tell you what happened last night" I yell out to Lachie walking over to the hallway.
"Come to my room, we can talk here" I hear Lachie call out.
"Can't you just get ready first?" I ask
"Don't be silly Faith, just come here" Lachie say walking out from his room now face to face with me.
I just stand there staring at him wanting to go so that we are not late getting to school.
"Come on. We still have an hour before we have to be at school" he says going back into his room.
Seriously, I have been waiting to leave for ages now, I just want to get going. I guess we will not be leaving if I don't go talk to him now.
I make my way to his room still not wanting to stay here much longer, the traffic is insane in the mornings.
I get to Lachie's door and he is changing his shirt. I just stare at him not knowing what to do besides stare at him. I lean against the door frame waiting for him to notice me.
"You can come in, it's fine. You can sit on the bed" Lachie says turning around and heading towards the bed to sit. I do the same and wait for him to say something first.
"So want did you want to tell me so badly?" Lachie asks.
"It's Maddy again. Her mom called my mom and told her that I had punched Maddy for no reason" I say
"What?" Lachie says, "I actually got a text from her last night" he tells me
"That's probably why I got a text from her saying that I'll get what's coming for me and then a second text threatening me but what did she say?" I ask
"She just told me that I should leave you guys and to be with her, I just told her to go away, but she threatened you?" Lachie questions
"Lachie, try not to make a big deal out of this, it's not that serious yet" I say
"Not yet, and what happens if it does get too serious?" Lachie asks angerly
"We'll do something about it then, she hasn't done anything to me yet and because of that, we can't exactly go to the police you know" I say.
Lachie just stares at me knowing its true.
"I just want you to know that if anything happens, you'll come to me and I'll be there for you. You know that I always have been and always will be" Lachie says grabbing my hand
"I know, you know that I'll be there for you always as well" I say
"Faith, I truly mean it. You know that I have always liked you more than just friends. I know that you feel the same, but I know that you wanted to get yourself better and not to be so anxious. You know the longer I wait for you to be ready, the more motivation I have to be with you, I'll continue waiting but just know that I'll always be here when you are ready" Lachie says which makes me go red and hot.
Lachie has always been so sweet to me and that just makes me want to be with him more and more, but right now I'm too scared that my wings will grow if we get together and having new emotions, I don't know how to control that. Hopefully, I can get my wings under control so that I don't have to wait any longer to be with Lachie.
"Are you going red? Your blushing, aren't you?" Lachie asks
"No, you're just imagining things" I say getting up to walk towards the door. Lachie follows me and grabs my arm and turns me around before I could open the door. We just stand there, in silence, looking into each other's eyes.
"Faith, I know that you want to wait but can we just try. There's no harm it that right?" He asks
"Look, I don't want to ruin what we have if we do try and be together. I don't want to lose something special" I say honestly.
"I'm special?" Lachie ask
"Well, yeah, and the whole getting together thing, I can't right now" I say sitting back down
"Look, I know that you said you have to deal with your anxiety and looking after yourself, but you know that I'm there for you right?" he asks.
"I know, I guess that's why I like you so much" I say. I may also have a crush on you too.
"How much do you like me?" Lachie questions with a smirk on his face knowing that I'll blush.
"I think you already know the answer to that" I say getting back up wanting to leave for school now.
"We are not leaving yet" Lachie says rushing over to the door and blocking it before I could even reach it.
"Jesus, your fast" I say crossing my arms
"You can't just walk away from this Faith" Lachie says
"Walk away from what? The whole talk of possibly being together? I mean, I want to try, but I need to love myself first. I do not feel ready to be with someone, especially when I do not love myself" I say getting more annoyed than I was when I was waiting for him.
"And I am ready to wait until you're ready. There is no denying that I have feelings for you and how much I care about you. I know that you feel the same about me. I have been waiting to be with you for a while know, I am not ready to give up on us at least trying. If you need any help with anything, please ask, I'll be there for you no matter what" Lachie says
I look down not wanting him to see me blush once again. Lachie is an amazing guy but me being an angel, I have no idea how I am going to keep my secret from him.
Lachie lifts my face to look at him. His eyes are like looking into the ocean. They just memorising and I love the colour of the ocean. We just stare into each other's eyes and out of nowhere, I feel his lips on mine and I am kissing him back without realising. His lips are soft, and I cannot stop myself from kissing him.
He pulls away and I keep my eyes closed a little longer before opening them.
"Know you know that I'm willing to wait for you" Lachie says with a big smile on his face.
I'm glad his willing to wait until I'm ready, it's been a while since I felt cared and loved. My parents do not really show their love and care for me and having Lachie show that, it's a really nice feeling.
"Should we get to school?" I ask
"We probably should" He replies going back over to his bed.
"Are you ready this time?" I question
"I honestly have no ideas. I just get up in the morning and do stuff" he laughs
"I honestly have no idea how you get to school on time" I laugh as I walk out the door.
