Cade PoV

"The meeting between you and the Chinese investors have been fixed,sir." Cara my secretary announced,gathering papers on her arm.

"Good. When?" I asked, adjusting my glasses,and signing off yesterday's contract.

"This evening at 6:00pm,the restaurant reservation is at your interest sir. Choi Yang insisted that you'd be the one to make the reservations." Cara said.

"My normal restaurant then. Tell the manager its a business date ,nothing too special and nothing too serious either. Tell him to make it perfect,okay?" I instructed.

"Yes sir." She nodded and left my office.

I sighed,rubbing my beards which really craved attention. I just wanted to see how this goes. I decided to take Calvin's most important client to annoy him,obviously. I decided to also see my wife, Audrey. Yes,she is still my wife,even after the separation.

I still feel betrayed,and used. I loved that girl to bullshit. I still do as a matter of fact. I don't think I can be able to stop either.

I never tried to know how she was fairing or how she is fairing. But after years of realizing that I couldn't get over her,even after sleeping with zillions of women, they never meant anything to me except a fling.

That's when I found out that she works with Calvin. My raw foe. And the private investigator I hired also told me that they were suspiciously close to be just a boss and employee relationship. Just that thought alone, pissed me off.

I'll see how well he can do without his Chinese mergers.
I continued signing my contracts before the intercom pinged.

"Yes?" I answered.

"Sir,you have a call from Hayes Industry. Should I put him through?" She inquired.

Yep!the call I've been waiting for.

"Put him through." I said back.

"Right away sir." She said before forwarding the call.

"Cade Michael Rodriguez on the line." I said firmly ,like I didn't know who it was.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing,huh?" Came Calvin barked out voice.

"What I'm I doing?" I asked innocently.

"You don't want to mess with me Cade. I've been on the low for a long time,don't make me act." He threatened. I could feel the rage and venom dripping from his voice.

"I'm still trying to figure out what I did wrong. The Chinese investors suddenly liked my firm how is that my fault?As a matter of fact you should be blamed,since you couldn't give them what they actually want from a company." I said to him,waiting for his backlash.

I heard his long sigh, before he said." What do you want?"he said calmly.

"What do you think I want?" I hauntingly asked.

"I'm not in your fucking thoughts Rodriguez. So I don't know what you want." He answered dreadfully.

"Well....I don't want anything other than getting what's yours, but I'm not gonna lie,I love watching you annoyed."

"You know what? You're a bastard. That's what you fucking are! You know you can't come face-to-face and say bullshit,and definitely whip your ass." He said grudgingly.

"Okay,you really wanna meet face-to-face?" I asked,surprising myself. What the hell I'm I thinking.
"Come to the ' Dtarts ' Restaurant at exactly 6:00pm. Come with a date." I smirked. That date will surely be my lovely Audrey.

"And why the hell should I meet you up? Who fucking says I want to see your face?" He added.

The guy is such a pushover!

"You wanted to meet face to face right? And a big step to get your Chinese mergers back,since I'm also meeting them there." I finished.

I'm asking for trouble,I know. But what's the fun if I don't ask for trouble??

"This better be good asshole. I'll be there. And I'll show you why I'm much more better than your red ass " he retorted before hanging up.

I called back Cara.

"Yes Sir." She answered immediately.

"Tell the restaurant manager to add two more chairs to my reservation. We have more guests."

"No problem sir." She said, then I hung up.

This will surely be one hell of a dinner.
