Three days and three classes went by, yet there was no more signs of the mysterious Queen fan. Although, in the second half of the classes on the third day he came by and sat himself on the back row. This time I wasn't in the back row like the first day, I sat next to Christina, Anna and Victor whom I had recently gotten friends with. The mystery man caught my eye for a brief two seconds and nodded awkwardly like you do when you barely know someone, but not really, yet you still think it will be too rude if you didn't do something.
During the class I heard him cough 4 times, for some reason I counted them, I just don't know why. Then our teacher with the name mr. Brook, he had curly grey hair, glasses, black turtleneck. And he randomly decided to ask a question to the students, something he had never done before. He said "You! In the back, with the Queen shirt! How can you trick the audience into empathizing with characters?" and after a few breaths and thoughts the professor added "and as well making them believe that the characters are real?" I looked back at him waiting for an answer, as did the others. This time he didn't have earplugs in. I saw him lean forward as he smiled wisely took a slow breath and said with his soft voice loud enough for everyone to hear "You have to give the audience a temporary taste of psychosis."
The class was finished.
The moment the class was finished it felt like for 30 seconds that the Avengers cast could possibly be outside doing photoshoots, since all the students rushed getting out of class. When everyone had left it was just me and mr Queen left. I saw him getting ready to walk out of the room as I quickly got closer to him and said loudly "You have to be careful, you know?" He turned around looking questionable as I added "so that you don't get sick, you should take some medicine for that coughing, we don't want you to miss out on school." He looked at me bluntly with a smile that reached as far in length as I could tell, and he walked out of the classroom.
Even though that seemed like the last I would see him that day I still wanted to get answers to my questions. "Queen-man, Hang on!" I exclaimed. The black haired man turned around and responded "Is there a problem detective?" I enjoyed his sly answered as I grinned and said something I should have said earlier "I never catched your name." He chuckled and replied "How come you want to know my name?" His eyes glanced at me with satisfaction as I said "I think it's usual that people know their classmates names, at least where I came from, and especially if you want to get to know them better." "Why all of a sudden do you have interest in me? Have I done something?" he quickly replied. "No" I said. "I just think we have a lot in common Freddie the second." Bluntly he squealed an immature laugh whilst saying "You have to stop with those nicknames so I'm giving you my name" and he continued laughing.
After a few breaths he took his hand in front of me and said calmly "The name is Richard.. Richard Brook, what is your name?" "Nice touch Bond, my name is Louise.. Louise Alby" I replied and shook his hand. "So your name is Brook, like our teacher, are you relatives?" He stared at me like he was thinking, then he said "Not really, that must be really distant, he wouldn't know who I am."
His phone chirped and he said "I need to go Louise" he said as he nodded formally, said goodbye and walked out of the school.
As I walked home the name Richard Brook went back and forth in my head, the name was actually very handsome. As was he, I thought.
As the weekend had gone by, I came back to school and yet again sat with my new friends from class. I decided to ask them if they knew who the guy sitting in the back of the class was, they said no. I wasn't sure if he was in our class since he never really showed up, so I decided to figure it out myself.
In the break between the two lessons of acting our teacher always leaves the classroom without taking with him his belongings. So I went to his catheter and looked for the class list. Funnily enough, none of the other students seemed to care on what I was doing so I continued.
I found the class list, 35 students. But there was no Richard Brook on that list.
