Phantom POV:

I sunk into the knee-deep water, grabbing hold of the small boat that had begun to float away from the shoreline. I must had forgotten to tie it up before I left. I was just about to climb into it as I heard a slight noise to the right of me. I had been accustomed to the small rustling of mice which scampered along the tunnels, but the echo was definitely not from the rats.

I left the boat immediately, following where I thought the noise had come from.

Raoul POV:

I climbed silently in the tunnels, guessing which ways to turn, and planned out my move. It would be simple, the Ghost hadn't known I was here, so I had a good chance at sneaking up on him.

I turned a corner, completely ignoring my footing and slipped on a small puddle of water. The gun dropped from my grasp, making a 'thump' as it hit the ground. The small noise echoed down the catacombs. Crap. So much for my 'sneak attack'; I knew the Phantom would have heard the sound and was probably already on his way to investigate. I'd just have to improvise.

I crouched down to the floor, pointing my gun in the direction of where I supposed he would come from. I only hoped that the darkness would conceal me enough to get a clear shot.

It seemed a lifetime before I heard a rustling nearby. I squinted my eyes down the scope, listening as footsteps drew nearer and nearer. A shadow danced on the wall as someone turned the corner to the tunnel I was in.

I pulled the trigger.
