Ch. 1

Not the longest chapter, but I have been so excited to get this book posted for y'all (and you've been waiting so long too) that I had to shorten it a little.

December 20th, 6:58 pm

The winter snow was falling lightly around them, a light breeze blowing strands of hair into eyes. The white was already sticking to the ground and with each step there was a deep crunch beneath their boots. Walking through the city of Seoul, it was relaxing to finally have a break for the holiday week. The air was heavy with the smell of pumpkin spice and cinnamon as they passed a busy Starbucks, the line reaching all the way out of the building and snaking a good five feet from the door.

Seokjin brushed his hair out of his eyes, glancing over at his friends as they walked in a group of six. He was at the end of their line, where Yoongi walked beside him with his hand laced in Taehyung's. The new couple were ever so obsessed with each other, almost always in some sort of physical contact. "My hands are about to fall off, I swear."

Hoseok laughed and shook his head, black hair scattering across his forehead in a wind blown mess. A orange coat was wrapped tightly around his lean torso, his gloved hand wrapped firmly around Jimin's, whom was his trainee. His orange hair was bright against his dark coat and a scarf covered the bottom half of his face, due to Hoseok's constant insistence that he be wrapped nice and warm for the cold weather outside. "I told you to wear gloves, but you said you wouldn't need them because it was a short walk. Doesn't seem so short anymore, does it, hyung?"

"Oh, shut up, Hoseok. I did not- "

"Actually," Jiyoon spoke up, her index finger thrust up into the air as she leaned forward in order to be spotted from where she stood in the middle of their line. "You did say that. I brought an extra pair though! Do you want them?"

Seokjin eyed the pair of bright blue mittens in her outstretched offering hand that looked way too small for his hands. He shook his head and instead stuck his fists into his coat sleeves, his tan coloured coat reaching his jean covered knees. "I'll pass, but thanks anyway. Next time I'll know better. Speaking of knowing better, Taehyung, how's that burn on your hand?"

There was a collective groan from the entirety of the group as Taehyung responded, sounding quite exasperated. "Seriously, hyung? Are you ever going to let that go? It was three days ago!"

"Yeah, it was three days and still funny. How am I the only one that manages to see the truth these days?" He said sarcastically, feigning disbelief as he pressed a hand to his forehead.

Yoongi nudged him with his elbow, a knowing smile on his lips as they made eye contact. "Because you're the only one who actually saw it, hyung. The whole reenactment of the incident was hilarious at first, but you keep bringing it up every chance you get. I mean, all he did was accidentally burn his hand on the stove."

"It was his whole palm. Taehyung set his whole hand on the stove at work! You should've heard him holler, I swear- "

Taehyung held up his left hand, wrapped in white medical tape. He didn't have to do much disinfecting every night like when he had first gotten the burn, but Seokjin still liked to laugh about Taehyung's stupidity. "It's barely burnt anymore. Look- " Taehyung wiggled his fingers and made a fist. "I can move it without a problem now. Now can we hurry up and get hot cocoa? I'm getting freezer burnt."

Jiyoon, Hoseok, Jimin, and even Taehyung himself laughed at his joke, but Yoongi was immediately concerned and looked up at his boyfriend with wide eyes that had a frown pulling at Seokjin's lips. "Aw, are you cold, Tae? The café is close, so it won't be too much longer."
