"Hunter!" Skylar's screams awoke me from my deep sleep, Puss as well. She came bursting into

our room, tears welling in her eyes.  I immediately got out of bed and rushed to her side. "Skylar,

what's wrong?", I asked. "They're gone!", she sobbed. I gently gripped her by the shoulders and

looked into her eyes. "Who's gone?" "Jonathan and Henry, vanished without a trace! Their

clothes are gone as well as their things! Their beds are neat, as if they have never been slept in!"

"Hold on a minute Skylar, who are you talking about?", I asked. Skylar stopped crying and

backed away from me. "What do you mean who am I talking about? Your brothers of course!" I

looked at her in confusion. I didn't have any brothers, at least none I knew about. "Skylar, I'm an

only child remember? I don't have any brothers."  Skylar looked at me, mouth agape. "No

Hunter, you're not an only child, you have two brothers!  An older brother named Jonathan and

a younger brother named Henry! Think back!" I did as she said but I couldn't for the life of me

remember the people she was talking about. "Is it possible you dreamt them?" She just looked

at me and shook her head. "How could you not remember them?" Then a look of realization

came to her face followed by a look of anger. Suddenly I felt very sorry for whoever had incurred

the wrath of Skylar Chesshire. "Hunter", she said through grit teeth. "Aye?" "Get dressed, we're

going to pay Mayor Lukas a little visit."

A few moments later Hunter and I were walking down the street . Well he was walking; I was

angrily stomping down the road, fists clenched at my side. Puss padded alongside us, eyes full

of concern, but I paid them no attention. I was a girl on a mission and nothing would stop me.

Mayor Lukas would pay dearly for stealing my friends away. I knew now without a shadow of a

doubt that something was seriously wrong with Melas. The townsfolk, like yesterday, were all

friendly smiles and free wares. I just glared at them and continued on my way. A town where

everyone could use magic, where there were no men, and no one seemed to age over twenty.

This was all the Mayor's doing and I was going to put an end to him and the grip he held over

these people.

When we reached the Mayor's house I angrily banged on the door. "What are you going to do

when he answers?", asked Hunter. I slowly turned to him and said, "I'm going to make him

regret the day he met me." When no one answered I tried again, but once again no one opened

the door.  I closed my eyes, took a step back, and raised my hands. "Ffrwydro!" The door

blasted back off its hinges with a loud boom and crash. "Shall we?" I gathered the edges of my

cloak and stepped over the rubble. I could feel Hunter's frightened stare on my back as I went

in.  "Lukas!", I yelled. "Come out, I know you're here you snake!" No answer. I turned to Puss
