Bakugou POV

We were mostly silent while we walked. It was hot out, but there was a cool breeze so it wasn't too bad.

Kirishima was smiling the whole way there. I took him on the scenic route through a park. There were lots of cherry blossoms this season, so I thought it would be.... a little.. romantic.. I guess..

The silence between us was calming, but also a bit unnerving.

"Why do you keep smiling?" I asked.
"Because I'm with you." He said bluntly. I could feel my face get hot. I think he noticed what he'd said because small blush had formed on his face.

As we were walking through the park, we came across a carousel.

"Hey look, a carousel!" Kiri said. He started dragging me towards the ride like a little kid.

While in line for the ride, his face was practically glowing. He had let go of my hand to buy a ticket before getting in line.

"Are you excited bakugou? Cause I am! I haven't been on one of these since I was a kid."

I laughed, "oh yea, I'm real excited." I smiled at him. His sharky teeth smiled back as he intertwined his fingers with mine again.

"ugh.." I heard someone scoff. I turned around to see who it was. There was an old lady behind us with a nasty look on her face. She also seemed to have her grandchildren with her.

I needed to make sure it was her before I called her out. I stepped closer to kiri and have him a peck on the cheek. His face immediately turning redder than his hair.

"disgusting..." I heard her mutter. I turned around.

"Do you have a problem, ma'am?"

"Excuse me?" She asked, still with a nasty look on her face.

"I said, Do. You. Have. A problem?"

"Well, I just think you shouldn't be doing that in an area where there are children present."

Kirishima turned around. "W-what's going on bakugou.."

"Listen, I don't care who you think you are, but I think you should look at your behavior and the precedents you're setting for your own grandchildren. So, if could you please keep your comments to yourself."

I then turned around and walked further in line. During our "conversation" the line had moved up without us noticing.

The lady had gone silent as well. Serves her right, old hag. It had finally gotten to our turn on the ride.

We ran and got onto two horses that were beside each other.

"I'm gonna call my horse rebel, cause it sounds cool." Kiri said while pretending to pet his horse.

I chuckled a little. "Hey.. I hope I didn't embarrass you back there Kiri..."

"W-what? N-no of course not. I appreciate what you did. It was the right thing to do and she deserved it for being rude."

The horses started to move and old carnival music started to play along with the carousel.

"Good.. I was worried you might get upset with me." I gave a sigh of relief.

"Well, don't worry. I'm not upset with you bakugou.... but... there is one thing I wanna know," he turned to face me, "w-why did you kiss me? Was it to piss off that lady... or was it b-because you just wanted to.." a worried look grew on Kirishima's face. His smile no longer present.

"Kiri... I wouldn't have asked you out here with me if I didn't  want to. Yea, that lady was a bitch and it was to make sure she was the one being rude, but I wanted to. Goddammit kiri! I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for you! And I sure as hell wouldn't be on a kids ride or up this FUCKING early, IF I DIDN'T LOVE YOU!!!"

Tears started streaming down my face. My chest was heaving. Goddammit. Why in public?! My heart was pounding. I needed to leave. I got off the carousel and swiftly walked towards the exit.

I went and sat under a nearby tree. There was no one in that area, and there was shade too. I needed to cool off...

Kirishima POV

What! Just! HAPPENED!?!

B-bakugou loves me? Really?! I'm so happy, I-I can't breath. He had already quickly walked away without me. How could I have been so stupid?! Thinking he only kissed me to spite that old lady.

I had to find him. I ran through the exit and looked around. If I knew bakugou, then right now he would want to be somewhere secluded.

I walked around the building the carousel was in and found a large tree with lots of shade. And, a spiky haired boy sitting under it.

I slowly walked toward him. I could hear him sniffling as I got closer. He had his knees pulled up to his chest. I quietly sat cross legged next to him.

He had clearly noticed because his sniffling had stopped. We stared off into the distance for a couple minutes.

"D-did you really mean that bakugou?"

"Of course I did... I love everything about you kiri. Your smile, your laugh, your kindness, your carefree and loving personality, how patient you are with me, how you're able to hold back from punching people in the face when they piss you off." I laughed at that.

"See," he said, "that's what I mean. Your laugh has the ability to make everything and everyone around you light up. Even me, no matter how angry I am.... I've loved you for so long. Loved you to the point where it pains me to not be around you or to see you sad.... I'd give up everything just to keep you smiling."

Tears started to form in my eyes. They rolled down my cheeks as I lunged forward onto bakugou. Wrapping my arms around him. He steadied himself before hugging me back.

"I-I'm sorry bakugou.." i whispered.

"For what?" He asked.

"For not telling you I loved you sooner..." I said, tears still rolling off face.

We pulled apart. Bakugou looked me in the eyes. Placing his hand on my cheek and wiping away my tears.

I stared back into his deep ruby eyes. The gap between our lips becoming thinner by the second. And before I knew it, there was no more gap.

I melted into the warm kiss and closed my eyes. Wrapping my arms around his neck. After a couple more seconds, we pulled apart.

"Now, no more tears kiri." He said. I laughed a little a wiped away the rest my tears. We stood up and walked toward the parks exit gates.

I intertwined my fingers with his as we exited the park. I kissed him on the cheek. "I love you", I said. He chuckled.

"I love you too," bakugou said as he gave me a returning kiss on the cheek. I couldn't help but smiling all the way to the breakfast café.
