Mari's POV

It's been a week, when we transferred Adrien in his pack while me and Alya came together with them.

I was alone right now at Adrien's room. I didn't eat, sleep, move away, even think. I kept staring at his lifeless body. People keep saying I should take care of my self but I didn't budge. He looked so peaceful. I thought as I hold his hand tightly, hoping he would wake up.

"Adrien, please wake up, I miss you so much. I love you for 12 years. Please you just can't leave me here. We promised each other right? That we would love each other forever that we would be mates. Please wake up for me, for your parents, for your friends, for your pack. Please Adrien we need you. I need you. I didn't eat, sleep, move, I was afraid that you would be gone in a blink of an eye even if you won't be able to remember even if act cold towards me, just please you can't l-leave Adrien." I cried, please help him Moon Goddess.

Flash back~

The week before~

"W-what?" I froze. That's why he acted cold towards me. That's why he couldn't remembered me...

"H-how did it h-happen?" I asked Gabriel nervously. I saw him gulped nervously before speaking.

"Well it started when Adrien was 13 years old. Him and Nino were walking around and found their favorite spot. They were doing fine until a rouge came out of nowhere, being the next Alpha he is. He protected Nino but it wasn't an ordinary rogue. It was a witch so it was possible for her to get in our territory without being caught. The witch cast a spell on Adrien directly. Nino was trying to stop the witch but then she cast a spell on Nino, making him stop moving so he couldn't save Adrien and he couldn't mind linked because he was young so it was hopeless. The witch continued the spell until Adrien was unconscious. The pack doctor said he could've died because of the spell but he didn't because he was gifted, instead it gave him an amnesia. He couldn't remember us, you, his name, everything, since then he become cold towards us and everyone around him. We tried everything, surgeries, treatments but it didn't work so we stopped. Later on he started to believe we were his parents but nothing change, it was like a curse." Gabriel explained, you could hear the rage and scared in his voice.

A curse huh?

But then it hit me...

"Wait what do you mean, gifted?" I asked. I didn't want what I was thinking was true. I was gifted too. When I first shifted. My wolf was red. It freaked everyone out but when we realized the meaning of it, the entire pack swore to keep it as a secret, being the future Luna Ladybug would be dangerous so that means he was...no no!

"Wait is he..?" I asked softly. Fear was clear on my voice.

"Yes I afraid so..." I turned to Emily as she answered the question with her head down.

"But why isn't he healed? He is gifted, I mean?" I asked politely trying to hide my anger and sadness.

"We don't know either it was strange, maybe it was a curse." She explained, that is possible, but wait...

"Is his amnesia permanent or not?" I said. I hope it's temporary.

"Both yes and no..." I turned to Gabriel confused.

"What do you mean?" I asked confused. What kind of news is that?

"Well the doctor said that it was rare for werewolves to have an amnesia but knowing witches their amount of magic is limitless so it could be a curse. Then he said he had a slight possibility to remember everything." Gabriel said, with a sad look written on his face.

"We are really sorry for not telling all of you, mostly you, we already knew the two of you would be mates, we didn't let you know or let him know, we knew who was his mate, because maybe you would be hurt on how he is today." Emily said apologetically, as I smiled genuinely at them and said,

"It's okay, you have reasons, I understand, no harsh feelings Emily." I said as I hugged her and felt her hands around my waist and hugged me back.

"We are lucky to have you as Adrien's mate, and our daughter, Marinette." Gabriel said as Emily nodded in agreement.

End of Flash back~

Just then I felt the hand I was holding, let go, seeing him he has woken up...

"What are you doing here?!" He asked, and growled, just as I thought.

"I am really sorry Alpha, I'll leave now." I said as I bow for submission, and left.

But then only to be stop by a question, I didn't want to answer.

Adrien's POV

It was all dark, no any signs of light, I wondered am I dead?

But then I heard a voice,

"My name is Mari, yours?"

It sounded like a kid, but she had a beautiful voice, it sounded great to hear.

That's when, I woke up, but I felt someone holding my hand, I let go of it, I woke up to see my mate.

"What are you doing here?!" I asked and then growled, I know I am mean to her but I don't care, what if she will betray us?

As I looked at her, she looked terrible, it's like she hasn't take care of her self for a long time.

"I am really sorry Alpha, I'll leave." She said, as she bowed as submission, was about to leave but I questioned her.

"Do you know who Mari is?" I asked, I want to find out maybe she can bring my memories back, I felt her tense up.

She must know something...

"I am really sorry but I don't know her, I'll let everyone know you're awake." She said and left, I could tell she was lying but I let it pass.

I wondered who Mari was, I bet she was a person I knew before I became a monster like this, but I had too, to lead a strong pack.

Suddenly my mom came, my mate must have called her.

"Son, are you okay now?" My mom asked me.

"Yeah, by the way do you know who Mari is?" I asked, maybe she knew, I heard her breath hitched, she gulped nervously and said.

"Well, she is a great girl, you and Mari used to play together, you two were so close, when we go home from visiting her pack, you would share all what were you doing, you used to say she is beautiful, she have beautiful eyes." My mom said, happiness swayed through her eyes.

I hoped I can see her soon...
