When the clock strikes 12 ( EXO Fanfic) [~*HIATUS*~]

Out of breath

As Chen breathed his last breath......

The glass door cracks, spider-webbed like cracks appeared. The glass door finally shatters into millions of pieces reflecting Chen's body lying opposite of the shattered glass door.

His breathless, lifeless body lies on the floor. His eyes were wide open but the usual cheekiness and shine in it was gone. His mouth was agape as if his soul has just escaped.

The atmosphere was tense as people started to close in. "CHEN!" Everyone rushed to his sides. Sirens filled the air.

Reporters slowly flooded the scene. The surroundings were a blur as i try to make out what has happened, noises were blocked by my ears.

A few minutes later:

The doctor came out of Chen's room, he faced down looking at his blue board.

"He has taken in a high amount of petrol causing fatigue and difficulty in breathing. He will only be out of the danger zone...  after he wakes up. " We look into the window and see Chen lying peacefully on the bed.

"We can only assess him after he wakes up, this will probably take a few hours. But, for now, he is breathing normally." He gave us a faint smile and a small nod before leaving us. 

Peering through the window of Chen's hospital room, we suddenly realise how fragile humans was and that idols are also humans that can be easily hurt.

"Yeoboseoyo? Is this Miss Park Min-ah? Can you please come to *address* now?"

I clutched my phone close to my chest as the call ends. I took one last look at Chen before going towards the exit of the hospital.

"Ya! Min-ah!" A call of my name was heard, followed by a hand grabbing my wrist. The impact made me stop in my foot.

"Where are you going?" I turned to a half-smiling Sehun.

"I'm going somewhere.. " I took out my phone and showed him the address. He squinted at the screen, mouthing the address as he reads.

"Isn't this the Forensic Science Institution?" My eyes widen as i heard those three words come out of his mouth.

Forensic Science Institution?

Why would they need me there?

"I could drive you there if you need me to? " Sehun's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"That would be great. " I smiled at him as we proceed to our destination.

Forensic Science Institution:

"Annyeonghasaeyo I'm Park Min-ah and i have been informed to come here?"

"Ah yes, we've been expecting you. Follow me. " She eyed Sehun that was walking behind me and raised her eyebrow but continued walking forward without giving any comments.

"Min-ah, over here." I saw EXO's manager waving at me. Walking towards them was really a chore. The surroundings were filled with mircroscopes and chemicals. Cold air of the air-conditioners chilled my skin, goosebumps started to form on my arm with hair standing up. As i got closer to them, the smell of death got stronger. Two bodies lay on the cold metal trays on the table.

The maid and the make-up artist.

"We found something in common between these two bodies. And this may be a clue to the person who started all this."

They pulled open the sleeves and clothes to reveal the scorpion tattoos on both of them. Imprinted on the arms and bodies was a black scorpion with its tail up and ready to attack its predator or prey. There's a sign on the scorpion that seem to signify an organisation.

A loud bang was heard as two officers burst into the laboratory.

"SIR! WE JUST FOUND ANOTHER BODY AT THE CRIME SCENE!"
