ONE-  DREAMS

Run Z.Kee, run! She chant a mantra in her mind. The pain in her head pounded every step she take, but she doesn't bother it and run. But blood drips from her forehead covering her eyes. Causing her visions to get clouded by the sticky crimson liquid. The moon is bright, that lit the forest just enough for her to see and avoid the big trees while she is running.

Her heart is pounding hard through her rib cage, the air in her lungs are growing thin and her throat got dry in trying to catch more air.

"Z.Kee! Come back here!" The deep voice echoed through the forest together with the sounds of the crickets made. Sending her chills to her spine. She ran as fast as her feet could carry her. She passed all those creepy trees with hand-like branches, that were trying to grab her shoulder and arm, leaving red marks on her skin.

She's scared of the person behind her and the creepy surrounding. She don't know why she's running from it.

But her hope grew, she saw a light, maybe a street light at the end of the forest and a car passed by. I'm almost there! Almost there. She smiled inside. Its about fifty meters more, but...

"Aahhhh." A scream escaped from her mouth, she tripped over a piece of log and hit herself to the ground. She did not notice the piece of wood, she was focusing her sight on the road.

She manage to stand up and walk, limping, her knee must have hit a rock when she fall down. She tried a few steps but fall back to the ground, her knee is throbbing in pain, its too weak to carry her for a run, even a walk.

"Shit!" She cursed under her breath when she saw the shadow of the person chasing her. She crawled herself  hopefully to escape.

"You are not going anywhere love." The voice comes right behind her, making her anxious and desperate. She fastened her crawl, grabbing twigs on the ground to help her move her body forward. But the person behind her grab her ankle, pulling her back.

"Nooo! Help please!" She wailed.

She kicked the hand of her abductor, but he is too tough to get hurt and she is too weak to kick hard enough. She tried to wiggle and roll her body, but it's just no use. The hope she had has slipped from her hands. She shut her eyes close and wail, maybe somebody might hear her cries and rescue her.

Another hand grab her shoulder and shook her. But she is too scared to open her eyes, she continued crying and shouting for help. Z.Kee! Z.Kee! She heard her mum's voice in her head, causing her to cry more. Z.Kee!  Princess, open your eyes. Another familiar voice commanded her, it belongs to her elder brother Jake. Z.Kee wake up!

She opened her eyes slightly, the bright white light is blinding her. As soon as her eyes adjusted with the light, she saw her mom and brother sitting beside her. She sat up, releasing the breath she's been holding.

Studying her surrounding, she's at her pink and purple room. There is a collage of  pictures of her, her family, bestfriend and boyfriend posted on the right side of the wall, no scary trees around her. She touched her forehead and felt the dampness of her sweat. No blood.

"Hey princess, it's just a dream." Jake stated calmly. Reassuring her.

But she felt scared. She does not like having those kind of dreams. Dreams that seemed real. Something wrong will happen every time she have this kind of dream. Like a premonition, but the events is different from what happened in her dream.

"Honey it's alright." Her mom said, wiping the sweats off her face with a towel. She nodded and hugged her mom in fear. Holding her for dear life.

Patricia wrapped her arm around her and patted her back, rocking her until she calm down. When ZKee pulled away, Jake handed her a glass of water. She took it with shaky hands, drank it down, hydrating her dry throat.

Taking deep breaths to calm her fast beating heart, they were all silent. Jake and their mother is just waiting for her to relax. It took a minute before her breathing and pulse turn back to a normal rate.

"Now go back to sleep princess, it's still midnight." Her mum told her, straightening her blanket as she lay back down in the bed.

"Jake, can you stay?" She pleaded to her brother. Jake just smiled, she could never say no to her sister. Even if she is now twenty-one, their family always treated her like a baby, their princess.

"I'll leave you guys then, goodnight." Patricia kissed her son and daughter's cheeks and went to the door.

Z.Kee scooted on the side to make room for her brother, Jake slid in the pink bed and cuddle her sister. She rested her arm across Jake's chest and curled beside him.

"Mind telling me about your dream?" Jake ask above her sister's head.

"Uhmm maybe tomorrow. Its a bad dream, real bad." She stated and yawn.

"As you wish."

"How did you know I'm having a nightmare?"

"You were screaming help. I thought somebody broke through the house. Dad and I ran towards your room."

"Sorry bout that."

"You don't have to, now go back to sleep."

"Goodnight Jake."

"Good night princess." He then kissed the top of her head.
