Cheryl was packed and ready to go, veronica had opted to drive her to the air port before she was off to her moms house for the semester break. lauren and toni were already at the airport meaning veronica better show up soon before she misses her flight as well. veronica had to run and Arron before dropping off the ginger girl, giving Cheryl time to get ready.

lauren sat with toni waiting for Cheryl she had got her ticket and now was seated with just a book bag of clothes and a toothbrush. that was just toni, she could live off of the same two shirts for three weeks. oppose to Cheryl who needed three suitcases and 14 outfits. lauren was aimlessly scrolling her phone not wanting to leave her best friend alone while she waited.

"you can go, she will be here. " toni chuckles as her bestfriend looked up from her phone for .5 seconds.

"nah, I wanna keep you company, plus free Wi-Fi "lauren says as she played fortnite on her iPhone. toni found her bestfriend surprisingly childish to be 19.

"well don't you have a meeting with a record label in like four weeks shouldn't you be working on music?" toni says throwing her feet across laurens lap.

"nope, I'm just gonna wing it. " lauren said sticking out her tongue but not for long as her focus was on the game.

45 minuets passed and no sign of Cheryl. there flight was soon to be called in like an hour. lauren was half asleep as toni was wide awake. she texted Cheryl multiple times asking her exactly where she at. no response . she wasn't worrying, Cheryl would be here. she knew that.

a knock was heard on the excited that veronica had arrived Cheryl jumps up and runs to the door. her breathing stoped vision became blurry and she heard her heart beat thump across her chest, there stood Reggie mantle with his youngest sister on his back. the smaller girl had her hair in pigtails and soft brown eyes. she looked just like her older brother except the cute nose.

"mom asked if id take her this week. she also gave me three Disney world tickets. Katie wanted to see you and I wanted to see you so I thought bump it. " reggie says she now notices the suitcase and the tickets in his hands. the small girl hoped off his back and attached her self to Cheryl.

"berry I missed you so much. " the seven year old talked funny since she was pissing her two front teeth. the two grew close Cheryl would always play fairy princess when it was thanksgiving or just simply when she lived with her brother.

"I missed you to kiddo. " Cheryl smiles warmly at the girl. poor thing never got the chance to have a real father hers was trashy.

"so what do you say Cheryl come to Disney world? it'll be magical." reggie shows off his charming smile and his dimples.

"reggie I -"

"berry you got to go you just got to, I wanna see the princess's and all the mouses and get ice cream and and you got to be there. because I wuv you. " the girl said hopping up and down. toni would understand right? she would understand that she couldn't go right now.

"okay I'll go. " she says just as veronica walks in she wasn't looking up just yet she was focused on the tire shop receipt she just got.

"a 140 dollars for one tire? you got to be shitting me. " veronica groans finally looking up to meet reggie and the small child.

"why is there a booger eating that in my room, oh and the kid. " veronica says unpleased.

"I'm not going, " Cheryl blurts and veronica chokes on her air. coughing she puts a finger up to say halt.

"um can I talk to you just for a sec. " veronica says pulling Cheryl out the room slamming the door shut in frustration.

"your bailing on toni?" veronica says crossing her arms in frustration and confusion.

"she will understand I cant go" Cheryl says convincing herself more than veronica. veronica scoffed running a hand through her medium length hair.

"right so, you bail on her , after spending every breathing moment with her the past five days. she offers to take you to paris no cost, at all and you bail. knowing she has hella feelings for you?" veronica sums up everything with one raised eyebrow.

"its not li-"

"no Cheryl its exactly like that, look I don't agree with you at all, but ill still be here when toni might not be anymore. you fucked up Cheryl. " veronica says before going back inside but not before shooting Cheryl a meaningful look.

five minuets, five minuets till they have to board the plane and still no Cheryl. toni never lost hope. she expected the pale girl to be behind in traffic or couldn't pick what jeans to wear. she knew she'd be here.

why did toni care so much about the younger girl? why did she want her next to her at all times? that was simple, toni was empty and Cheryl filled her up with love and wonder and all the feeling she thought she'd never experience. she became dependent and the girl, all her walls down and fallen. she was vulnerable but that's something only her herself knew. maybe lauren, the girl was a mind reader sometimes.

lauren was about to fall asleep when her phone buzzed she slides it out her pocket before reading the message, it was veronica. focusing her eyes she opens it and a heavy sigh left her lips reading the context. she knew what was going to come of this.

"she's not coming. " lauren says standing up. toni furrows her eyebrows shaking her head in disapproval.

"yes she is just one more-"

"she's not coming veronica said she bailed. " lauren says closing her eyes for a second trying not to look at the heart broken expression on toni's face. she opens her eyes seeing that there were small tears swelling up in the soft brown eyes. in that moment lauren was beyound pissed off at the red haire woman that made her bestfriend this hurt.

"but- she promised?" toni stumbles on her words. lauren bites her lip in frustration before pulling toni up to her feet. the taller girl grabs the bestfriends sholders giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"your going to get on that damn plane go to paris have the best stinking time of your life without her. then your going to come how and tell me every single dealtail about it. " lauren says lookinf into her friends eyes trying to get a small smile.

"i cant without her." toni sighs and thats when lauren engulfs her in her arms, the raven haired girl rubbing patterns on her back as silent tears fall from toni's cheek. ' you'll be okay ' ' shh' sweet nothings lauren whispered to her as the intercome binged for toni's plane.

"its not her fault her not being here, its mine for thinking she would. " toni says and lauren remains silent wiping the tears off of the short girls face.

"go have fun smalls, ill text you every other day, y'know to keep you wanting my messages. " lauren says trying to lighten the mood.

"bye weirdo. " toni offers a fake smile before turning on her heels heading to board her plane.

lauren clench her fist in rage, she didnt want this to be like last time, the last time toni fell in love.
