All my friends keep asking why I'm not around
I wake up to my phone ringing.
"Hello?"
"Luke, she's done it again. She's not in a good way and we've admitted her into the hospital." Her mum speaks, worriedly.
"Is she....alive?" I struggle to say.
"Yes, sweetie. We just thought you ought to know."
"Okay, um...thanks." I say, hanging up.
I hop into my car and drive to the hospital and when I get there it isn't good. Whatever flesh on her she hasn't gotten to is bandaged up and I hear news that traces of pills were found in her system. All I can do is sit.

Three days later and my phone rings.
"Bro, where've you been?!" I hear the voice of Calum and the laughter of the others in the background.
"The hospital, sorry."
"Dude what happened?" Ashton pipes in.
"No no, its not me, its her. She's tried it again." I barely whisper.
"Oh, sorry bro. Do you want us to head up there?"
"She hasn't woken up yet." I reply,barely holding back tears.
"Oh...okay. Just let us know when you've gotten the all clear."
Moments after the guys call she starts stirring and goes to sit up. I kiss her forehead, gently, and she gives me a weak smile.
"How are you feeling?" I stammer.
"I'm fine, really."
"You were out for three days."
"None of knew if you were going to make it." Her mom says through sobs.
"Just please promise you won't do this again." I plead.
"I'm sorry" she says, tears filling her eyes "I...I...just don't know anymore..."
"Well at least we have you now." Her mum responds whilst hugging her.
"I couldn't ask for anything more." I finish, and she wraps her arms around me and we kiss.
