This is the start of the story and the basic few facts.
On June 13 1977 at Camp Scott in Locus Grove, Oklahoma, councillor Karla Saw sleeping bags lying in the road, at first she thought they had dropped out of the back of someone's truck, there were 3 sleeping bags all together, 2 in the road and 1 in a yard not to far away. Karla when looking at the bag could almost make out the shape of a little girl, but was unsure of who it could be, so she told another camp councillor and notified the director Barbara Day. When Day and her husband went to check out the scene, Days husband started to pick up the sleeping bags, and could immediately feel the weight inside, soon they found 2 other bodies of little girls, making it 3 victims over all. Each one of them a Girl Scout staying in Camp Scout.
The day before the murders many eager young Girl Scouts streamed into Camp Scott, very excited for there first day of camp. It was a 2 week course, with campfires, crafts, fun activities and cooking. But due to heavy rain on the first day they all went to bed. The victims were from the Kiowa unit, the most isolated unit in all of camp Scott, it was 27 girls split into 8 tents, and the victims were in tent 8 the furthest away tent in the unit. Sometime after dinner and before bed, 3 girls wrote letters to there loved ones, (a Oklahoma newspaper later published the letter to remember the girls) the first victim was Lori Lee Farmer, at only 8 she was the youngest Scout at all of count Scott. She was blond and bright eyed and very smart, she skipped 2nd grade after taking a IQ test. She had 4 siblings and in her letter addressed them all.
Before attending camp Scott Lori was struggling to make the decision between a Girl Scout camp or a summer camp sponsored by the YMCA, it was Loris mother, Cherri Farmer who made the final decision, a choice which would haunt her forever. The 2nd victim was Michelle Heather Guse, she was 9 years old, before she went to the camp she was very excited to go, and Michelle enjoyed playing football, tending to flowers and reading. The 3rd Girl Scout was Dorris Denise Milner, who mostly went by Denise. At 10 she was the oldest Girl Scout of the 3. Dennis didn't really want to go to the Girl Scout and her mother told her that it would make her more independent and if she really didn't like it that she could just come home. And she made it clear she didn't enjoy camp in her letter,
