Shadow grabbed me firmly by the hand and ran to omelets castle. When we arrived there to my surprise sonic was already there, omelet man was lying on the ground unconscious as sonic repeatedly kicked him, I remembered that repetitive back and forth motion with fondness, nights when the mass of me and sonic became one, a combination of mind and flesh, giving into our crazy primal animal cravings that we could not control, I missed those times. I snapped out of my trance to address the problem at hand.
"Sonic" I said "is that, omelet man?" sonic stopped kicking omelet man and turned to me as if just noticing I was there, it was also at that moment that I realized that Amy was leaning on him, a little more than I liked to see, what was is this feeling, jealousy?
"We got him," Sonic said stiffly.
"I can see that. Is he... dead?"
"No, he is barely conscious" sonic said in as flat a voice as he could manage.
Thankfully what could have been a very awkward moment was interrupted by omelet man. He started laughing softly, spitting drops of blood out of his mouth.
"You fools" he said coarsely "you're, too late"
Sonic whipped around to face omelet man
"What are you talking about you old bat we just beat you" he snarled. Suddenly the ground started shaking shadow wrapped his arms around me. Omelet man's castle it turned out was not in fact a castle after all, it was a giant robot. Its legs were concealed beneath the ground as omelet man toiled in secret underground for years building his creation. With one last sputtering cough the light faded from omelet man's eyes and he was no more.
"Well thank god he's dead" said sonic.
"He's the least of our troubles now" said shadow "His castle is actually a giant robot" shadow said grimly I buried my face in his chest, sobbing
"It's gonna be ok" he said softly.
"Anyways" sonic said with a twinge of jealousy in his voice,
"We need to find a way to kill this thing."
"Iv'e got it." said shadow, "Sonic if you and ,e both run fast enough around the robots legs it should create a wind vortex which might knock it over"
"Oh yeah genius well whos to say it wont just get back up?"
"Look at it " Shadow said, the behemoth of a robot started to whir
