Days have passed since the war with eggman. He and his troops were captured and locked away until further notice. However, infinite was nowhere to be found. Some say he died, others say he might have fled, it was up for debate really.

Gadget was roaming the city, helping with the reconstruction of the town, but was also keeping an eye out for infinite. He hears moans of pain in a familiar voice coming from an alley.

Gadget decides to investigate and sees infinite, laying on the ground with a hole where the phantom Ruby was in his chest. Infinite looks at gadget and scowls at him.

I: "Great, the shell of a hero that hides a coward appears before me. Come to finish me off?"

Infinite holds his chest tightly, attempting to stop the blood loss

I: "If you are, might want to do it before the lack of blood does"

Gadget doesn't say a word, but kneels down beside infinite. He pulls out a first aid kit from his belt

G: "Stay still, I'm not the best medic, but I know a thing or two"

Infinite stares confused at the wolf, unsure of why he is helping him

I: "I don't need your damned pity, child"

G: "I'm not giving you pity, I'm saving someone from death

I: "believe me, I died a long time ago. I'm just a corpse of someone else"

Gadget doesn't take no for an answer though. He pulls out a bottle of alcohol and dabs some on to a cotton ball. He disinfects the area around infinite's wound. Infinite writhes in pain from the alcohol

G: "I said stay still! Jeez, you're acting like a child"

Gadget proceeds to bandage the wound whilst keeping pressure on it. He calls tails for a pickup. Infinite is loaded into an ambulance and driven to the resistance base
