It was like a never ending loop. Wake up, eat, go to school, sleep. It was getting quite unsettling as time went on— that is if time was ticking. It felt as though he were the only one to notice.
He usually felt nothing, numb to any pain or any feeling just like everyone else. It had felt like centuries since the last time he felt so alive.
"Don't fight!" A warning tone came from the youngest. Everyone laughed, including him. Even with what's going on around him he still felt hollow.
"Is something wrong?" His best friend asked. He could only shake his head and force a smile of assurance.
"I'm fine." He said for what felt like the millionth time. Just then, their leader excused himself. He said things along the lines of 'picking her up.' Moments later, their leader came back with a big grin.
"Everyone, introduce yourselves." Was the only thing that left his plump cherry lips.
What stood beside their leader scared the boy. It had the silhouette of a person, but there was no face. Only when he heard her name did he see it.
Slightly chubby cheeks, full pink lips, doe eyes, and a beautiful smile. Her face was illuminated by a screen but still he could make out his favorite feature of all. A smile that he would want to keep on her beautiful face forever.
