By the time I catch up with you, you are already halfway across our yard with a semi-automatic gun hoisted over your shoulder in addition to the pistol in your hand. I gave up asking where all these guns are coming from but I have to know why you're marching out to meet that man who is obviously here to kill us without regard for your safety.

"Stop!" I call after you but you keep walking to the gate. "Mina! Stop!" I grab your elbow and make you face me.

"Chad, let go." You demand as you twist your arm away but I pull you towards me.

"No." I stand my ground and you narrow your eyes at me, raising your eyebrow.

"Chad, please. Don't make me force my way out of this." You keep a steady gaze at me as your voice toughen with a clear warning.

"That's a threat. I know that's a threat and I also know you actually will act on that threat if damn well please." I sigh but I keep holding your arm. "You can be very scary if you want to and I admit that I am very scared of you right now because I know that if you will, you can hurt me. Very much. In every way imaginable."

"But... There is something that terrifies me more than you, Mina. And that... That is losing you." I let go of your arm and hold your hand. "I can't lose you."

The anger in your eyes fades into a soft smile as you cup my cheek with your free hand. "You won't. I promise." You tell me and stand on your toes to kiss me. My heart melts as our lips meld, reassuring me, reaffirming our love. You still have that sweet smile when our lips part and we touch our foreheads together.

"I love you." You whisper.

"I love you." I smile back and close my eyes as I rub our noses together.

"I'm sorry." You say and my eyes fly open as I feel you quickly pulling away.

"Sorry? What do you me..." In just two seconds you are already by the gate and the lock is being opened for you.

"I have to kill that son of a bitch first." You look over your shoulder to me with an icy expression before facing towards the gate again where a dozen men are already exiting from.

I can see that there's no stopping you from what you have put your mind into so I run after you because I vowed to be with you til death do us part and today and everyday, I'll stare death in the face and tell him, "You're not going to tear us apart."

What greets us when the gates open is not what we expected. Sure. Carlo is there surrounded by a dozen of armed men but their guns are not drawn and they seem relaxed just as relaxed as their boss's grin is.

"Hello there, sweet pea." He smiles from ear to ear, showing his perfect set of teeth that I so want to punch in. It's not a happy smile though more like a smug smile, his strong eyes set on your face.

He's tall, taller than me maybe six feet, light brown skin, broad shoulders, toned muscles, strong jawline, high-bridged nose, sharp eyes, thin lips. He is ruggedly handsome as you said with an air of gangster confidence.

I hate him already. The nerve he has to come to our house with his threats, his arrogant grin and his irritating endearment for my wife is intolerable.

You face him with your sharp icy stare as your jaw tightens. "Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you right now." You tell him as your hand tightens on the pistol you are holding.

"Tsk tsk... You're too serious, sweet pea. Bakit ba kailangang magpatayan agad?"

"You blew up my shop, shot at my men and threatened the people that I love, consider yourself a dead man." You narrow your eyes at him as your seething anger shoots daggers from them.
