I watch as you softly kiss Athena's forehead and then Thirdy's cheek after singing them a lullaby and tucking them into their beds. It's a beautiful and serene scene, one I will never grow tired of watching.
The gentle smile on your lips, loving sparkle in your eyes and the peaceful expression on your face don't show a hint of the intense anger and determination of the gangster boss in giving a final briefing of the that will be happening in a few hours. I wish that tonight, we can just stay here. I wish we can just forget about everything and just be here with our angels.
Their tired eyes close and the remnant of their contented smiles still trace their lips as I pull Thirdy's blanket to his chest and you do the same to Athena's. For a few quiet minutes, we drink in the calm gentleness of our children's slumber until a knock is heard on the door.
Our eyes meet, both knowing that it's time to go. With last kisses planted on our children's foreheads, we walk out of the room hand in hand.

"Remember. Don't do anything I didn't tell you to." You say as you fix the holster of the gun on my belt.
"Yes, Ma'am." I answer, standing still while you check the kevlar vest under my black long-sleeved turtle neck shirt. You're wearing a matching top with black pants, same as mine. The whole gang is wearing all-black outfits for the heist but I like thinking that as a couple we chose to have the same shirt, which I bought just because.
"Stay alert." You tell me as you tuck a small sheathed blade in my boot.
"Yes, Ma'am." I say.
"I know your smart and make good decisions under pressure but don't be a smart-ass, okay?" You look at me sternly as you sling an assault rifle over my shoulders.
I chuckle. "Yes, Ma'am."
"Stop smiling. Don't show your dimple." You roll your eyes at me.
I smirk. "Why?"
"You're distracting me." You glare.
"Good." I grin as I wrap my arms around your waist. "I was trying to. You're too serious, boss lady."
"This is serious." You sullenly tell me.
I sigh. "I know." I press a kiss on your forehead and deeply sigh as I pull you closer for a hug. You don't resist and lean your head on my chest. "Any further instructions, Ma'am?"
"One."
"What's that?" I ask.
"Don't be a hero." You whisper. "Not even for me. I need you alive and unharmed. Got that?"
"You know I can't promise you that, Love." I say quietly.
You sigh softly. "I know."
"I love you, Mina."
"I love you more, Chad." We stay silent as we rest in the comfort of our embrace for a while before you ask, "What's up with our shirts by the way?" You chuckle.
"Not sure. I've been just part of the gang the entire time I trained and planned for tonight with you, I wanted our shirts to remind everyone that I'm still your husband."
"Everyone including Carlo?" You raise an eyebrow.
"Everyone especially Carlo." I frown.
"Silly jealous husband. You're a child." You roll your eyes at me. "We have these rings to do that." You smile as you hold my left hand with your left hand where we wear our rings.
"I know but I can't keep raising my hand to show them that now, can I?" I grin but abruptly stop when I see the look in your eyes as you glare at me.
