With birds chirping through the window, Savannah slowly opened her eyes with a heavy groan. Even though it was morning and she would usually be able to see something due to the sunshine coming through the window, but everything was quite blurry.

She tried sitting up but that just gave her a massive headache and she ended falling back into the pillows. 'God... my head is killing me.' Resting the back of her hand on her forehead, Savannah closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to get rid of the ache.

Then she realised something.

Opening her eyes again, with slightly less irritating pains, she looked around the room she was in and immediately became confused. "How... did I get home yesterday?" She couldn't remember much of the events from the day before, and that confused her to no end.

Racking through her brain, she tried to replay everything that she remembered. She went to school, ended up being punished for falling asleep, cleaned the school and then walked with Jaehyun for a while, then she walked home by herself.... But she didn't remember anything from after leaving Jaehyun. 'That can't be a good sign..'

Shaking her confusing thoughts away, Savannah pushed herself to stand up and was about to take a shower when her bedroom door busted open. "Care to explain everything that happened yesterday? And I mean EVERYTHING." To say Hikage was angry was an understatement.

"Wha.. What do you mean?" Savannah furrowed her eyebrows while still trying to get her vision back to normal, but she was way too tired to be 100% serious.

Hikage on the other hand just got a little more frustrated. Sighing, she folded her arms and raised an eyebrow. "Savannah, I know you're almost an adult, but you're still a kid to me so you can't just go around a dangerous area at night and not tell me anything-"

"Woah, woah! What the heck are you talking about?!" Savannah jumped in before Hikage could assume something far from the truth happened. "I got stuck cleaning the school until 6 as punishment for falling asleep in class, and I ended up not realising the time until you called me."

Leaning against the edge of the door, Hikage face palmed and sighed while giving herself a headache. "That damn school is a mess. Especially Ms. Nam. I'll have a talk with her later. Ok, so I know what happened during the day, so what happened while you were coming home?"

"Nothing?" Her the obvious questioning tone in her voice, the older woman knew something must've happened, and going by Savannah's face, she knew that Hikage was thinking of something. "Seriously, nothing happened. I came through the 'safe' route and came home... It took longer because there was some group out last night. I was exhausted so I just climbed through the window and went straight to bed."

"And I very much don't believe that. It's not something you would do and you know that." Savannah knew she was going to get a lecture for obviously lying, but also because she never kept things from Hikage often. She only kept one thing from her...

"Hikage, please forgive me for this one time. It won't happen again, I promise." Literally begging her guardian with her hands together, Savannah put on the puppy eyes to get out of trouble.

Hikage groaned and attempted to keep a straight face, but she ended up with a frustrated look on her face for failing. Savannah was her soft spot, and always would be. She did her best to raise the little girl to be a good person, but she didn't want the kid to see her bad side. "Alright, fine. But I won't let it pass next time. Also, hurry up because you're already 20 minutes late for school."

"WHAT?!" Turning to look at the clock sitting above her window, Savannah saw that the clock read 8:23am. "Why didn't you wake me up?" She said as she ran around her room, picking random things up to throw on.
