Once upon a time there was humanity. No not just in the humans. In my thief too. But I'm getting ahead of myself... Or is it behind myself... Tenses are difficult.

Anyways...

It was an ordinary day. Well ordinary for me...

Sparks flew from my console as the Fifteenth Doctor rushed around pressing buttons and levers.

"Come on old girl, why wont you go where I direct you?!" He yelled in annoyance.

Fifteen hadn't had a companion in a while. A long while. And it showed. His new face hadn't been seen by anyone as he had recently regenerated and that was the way he had decided to leave it. He was actually following the time rules. And I hated it.

As Much as I hated to admit it. It was finally time to bring him to her. So that's why I decided to bring him to 1837 to a very strange house. But before he arrived I decided to surprise him by the dramatic entrance of an old friend. He would need back up on this adventure.

Captain Jack Harkness materialized in a bright blue light.

"Hello Doctor! New face I see." He winked.

"Jack... what have I told you about showing up unexpectedly?" The Doctor replied with his hands on his hips.

"Not to do it?" Jack replied, fiddling with something on his wrist.

The Doctor nodded curtly.

"Well this time it wasn't me." Jack replied.

"Well then who was it?" The Doctor inquired.

"I think it was the T.A.R.D.I.S. actually." Jack quipped.

"Well go back to wherever you came from." The Doctor replied, waving his hand dismissively.

Jack pressed a few buttons on his device, that I disabled immediately.

"It wont work..." Jack sighed.

"Sure it won't." The Doctor sassed.

"Welp I guess I'm stuck here." Jack replied with an over-dramatic sigh.

"Give me that!" The Doctor replied snatching the thing out of Jack's hand and trying to use the sonic on it.

"Hmmp!" The doctor frowned.

"It won't work huh?" Jack smirked leaning back on the railing.

The Doctor tossed the phone back at Jack who caught it with ease, as I landed gracefully outside a Victorian mansion.

Whhhhhiiiiir whhhiiiiiirrrr whiiiiiiiiir dunnnnn.

"We've landed. Let's see what the TARDIS cooked up for us shall we?" Jack smiled as he slid his device back on his arm, striding out the door.

The Doctor sighed heavily and looked up at my ceiling.

"Why him?" he glowered.

I laughed causing the lighting in the room to turn bright yellow, as he walked out the door with a frown.

Outside in the bright sun, Jack's eyes widened as he looked at the cuff on his arm.

"Doctor, what readings are you getting from this house?" He asked as the Doctor surveyed the cheerfull garden.

The Doctor sonic-ed the air around him and his eyes widened in turn.

"But that's impossible! For that much energy to be in this house there would have to be an exploding star in the basement!" The Doctor gawped.

"Let's go check it out!" Jack bubbled, rushing ahead of the Doctor.

The Doctor rolled his eyes and trudged off after him.
