2: Kuchel

" what's your name?" I question

" Levi. Just Levi." He stated bluntly

" I'm (y/n) . Just (y/n)." I say mimicking his answer

He tugs his wrist away as he walks out the alley with me in tow.

' Levi...huh nice name' I think to myself

I walk down an alley following what I now know Levi we hook a left and we end up in front of a brothel.

" this is it." He says with a sigh " let's go" he suddenly grabs my wrist and brings me inside.

It was humble, it wasn't the best room but for the underground the place was decent. There was a bed  , a small table , and a bookshelf

I trip over my feet , I look up to see this beautiful woman sitting on a chair. She looked just like Levi , with the same raven black hair and piercing steel eyes yet they were so soft.

" welcome home Levi," she said with a smile " oh and whose this little lady?" Acknowledging my presence

" this is a girl I found on the street she said she had nowhere to go" Levi said walking into the unknown parts of the room. I was still standing there like an idiot I decided to say something

" H-Hi , my name is (y/n) a-and I lost my mom not to long ago and was wondering if I could stay with you" I say closing my eyes tears brimming them while bowing down holding my backpack in front of me.

Suddenly I heard laughing I look up to see the lady having a small giggle fit

" o-oh darling no need to do that we're in the underground, anyways my name is Kuchel Ackerman but just call me kuchel " she says calmly

"I-I'm sorry kuchel I just don't know what to do my mom never really taught me how to well.....be nice" I say shyly

" oh no I should be apologizing, you lost your mom not to long ago I'm sorry for your loss.." she said solemnly

It hit me at that moment my mom was gone....I've never experienced something like this...I started crying ....no emotion written on my face just tears falling down my skin.

" oh sweetheart come here" Kuchel says while opening her arms out

I immediately crash into her arms throwing my bag to the side. I sob and sob til I stop and realize she held me that whole time. I pull away rubbing my eyes composing myself

" I'm s-So sorry you had to do that...I still have blood on my clothes I shouldn't have done that" I say guilt washing over me

" no no your ok (y/n) come come lets get you new clothes yeah?" She says getting up

That was the beginning of the relationship I had grown with Kuchel

We would talk about everything, my past, her pregnancy with Levi, you know the interesting stuff

Levi and I began to get closer to he was my best friend , in fact he was my only friend other woman in the brothel didn't have kids so it was just me and Levi.

One night it was just me and Levi sitting on the floor talking to eachother

" (y/n)?" Levi asked

" yeah Levi"

He puts his hand on top of mine" promise me...promise me you'll stay alive....for me?" He says

A tear fell down my eye before I realized and Levi put his hand up , to wipe it.

" I-I promise Levi , asking as you promise me that...t-that you'll be with me...even when we get older "

" I promise....(y/n)...." he said pressing our foreheads together

Everything was going right in my life...I didn't dwell about mom I had a new 'mom' and my best friend who practically saved my life and was very protective over me.

That was....until Kuchel got sick.....
