That was....until Kuchel got sick.....

Me and Levi didn't know what it was...she just started to fall ill.

'Maybe it was the stomach flu?, no there's not a chance we hardly eat meat in the brothel....we get watery soup at best....a virus?, no everyone in the brothel seem to be in passable condition of health..what could it be'

" L-Levi?"

" yeah..."

"What are we gonna do....we don't have the money....all we have is this room..."

" I don't know (y/n).."

" w-were still keeping our promise right?" I ask sticking my hand towards him

" of course." He said entangling our hands together

Kuchel is dead.

Me and Levi both know it...she looks pale...bony....skinny...and her chest isn't moving signaling she wasn't breathing anymore...

Levi and I sat by the wall next to the bed , holding hands and mourning. Or mainly I was, Levi barely showed emotion.

' CREEEEEEKKK ''

" oi oi oi oi " the stranger said " damn you've lost a ton of weight since last time , Kuchel."

" she's dead." Levi said

"Huh?" The stranger looks towards us " and you?, are you alive?"

" oi oi gimmie a damn break...ya hear me don't you?.....what's your name?"

" Levi. Just Levi."

The man leans against the wall

" I get it , Kuchel....that's true...not worthy using your name..."

He then slides down and sits next to Kuchel's bed

"I'm Kenny. Just Kenny."

He looks up and I make eye contact with him.

" oi , Levi who is your little girlfriend?"

' well if we're doing this just stuff'

" I'm (y/n). Just (y/n)."

He nods in response

" I used to know Kuchel.....nice to meetcha"

Kenny POV

I took them to a local pub to eat , they ate like animals

' am unfriendly brat on the brink of death....that's all Kuchel left behind'

Who is the little girl though?

'I wasn't as heartless that I'd let the runts die, but..I wasn't stepping in as the parent either...there wasn't much I could teach them'

If they wanted above ground it's up to them....but when that time came they had to do it themselves

Levi POV

Me , (y/n) and Kenny we're walking around on the streets

" look at that girl right there...she's be good on the market" I heard a guy in a grey shirt say

I immediately reacted and beat that guys ass

By now there was a circle forming around me and the guy as I was stomping his face in

I cut his face and held the knife up to him " do you understand, idiot?!"

I throw the guy down and see Kenny walking away...

I ran to Levi " let's go" I say dragging him
