Sleeping sunlight.
A poem by Destiny Diaz.

The darkness slowly creeps up onto the defenseless blue,

Enveloping the sun into its embrace,

The remnants of the suns' last breath lay still in the sky,

The vibrant purple slowly recedes,

Miniature, bright lights take their place as the moon bathes the land in its silver glory,

The wind breathes its cold breath down my neck, the chills of the night brush against my skin,

The howling of the wind meanders through the cool night,

Cocooning me into a blanket of comfort as my eyes droop and I am pulled into a world of sleep.
