My mind was having a massive headache from thinking of so many ways to kill this girl. I mean, how could I not? This girl was nowhere near deserving of Hunny's affection! As I watched them dance, I realized something. Am I...am I jealous? Obviously I am, considering I broke a thousand dollar glass. But....I couldn't possibly feel like this... Hunny and I are just too close for that. Or maybe that's what is making these feelings swell in my heart. I hold my hands close to my chest as my body tenses and I feel my cheeks get warm. How could I possibly find myself worthy of someone like Hunny? Then again I would be a much better fit than that obnoxious little twat. I regain my confidence and look up to see a boy standing next to me, looking out at the dancers. "It is a rather entertaining party." He smiles at me. This is Marcus. He's not too social and is a very talented pianist. He has played concerts from all around the world but he has yet to take a girl on a date. Despite his gracious personality and handsome looks, he can be very sarcastic. "So," he says as he places his glass down on the table," how about we show those two fools you're staring at who really masters the dance floor?" I hesitate. But as soon as I see her whisper something into Hunny's ear that makes him blush, I've taken Marcus' hand. "Don't be so hasty Hanna, I know I'm attractive and all but there's no need to manhandle me." Marcus laughs. My face is most likely beating red with embarrassment and anger. I want nothing more than to show up that brat. "I see," Marcus says as soon as he realizes just how serious I am," if you want to show off, just follow my lead." I nod. I can't believe how competitive I am. I hope my dancing isn't too rusty. Marcus takes my hand and lays his other one a bit too low on my waist. I raise his hand higher up my waist and take my position, struggling to keep my temper under control. He waltzes us next to Hunny and Alice with a smirk intently directed at Hunny. I glare a little at Marcus. Hunny glances over at us when I see a tint of annoyance. Oh man, is he mad? Marcus scoffs and sways me farther away from them. "What was that?" I ask him. "That was an invitation to a battle." A battle? "What do you mean Marcus?" He smirks. "Oh, you'll see." I get anxious and search for Hunny as we continue to waltz around. Suddenly, the music changes to another classical song with only piano. Surely, Marcus is ready to really dance. Marcus and Hunny have locked each other's gazes and begin to move towards each other. Alice is perplexed until she notices me and I see her confidence increase intensely. My mind begins to boggle and my body heat doubles. I am so ready.

Marcus smirks at me. "Brace yourself, Hanna." We begin to waltz and sway around opposite of Hunny and Alice. Hunny shoots multiple glares at Marcus, his like bullets. I lock eyes with Alice and start to feel my body heating up once again. I gracefully twirl and dip as led by Marcus. Her jaw drops and I snicker. That's right you little brat, I have moves. She then starts to lead Hunny so suddenly that he nearly trips but saves himself quickly. I let out a sigh, glad that he's ok. Marcus and I then proceed to wow the audience now encircling our little competition while Hunny and Alice glide gracefully across the floor as well. Our dancing gets more and more intense until, suddenly, my ankle starts to receive splitting pains again. I grunt loudly enough for Marcus to notice and cleverly dance is to the side. "Is everything alright?" he asks with a concerned tone. "Yeah I'm fine, maybe some water would be good?" He nods and rushes to grab a glass of water across the room. While he is away, I lift my dress up enough to observe my ankle. My ankle looks like it's beginning to bruise again with spots of purple and red around the injury from earlier. I quickly pull it back down once Marcus returns. I'm too stubborn to lose to a snot-nosed princess. When we return to the floor, Alice decides to show off her moves by having Hunny catch her after she jumps. Fortunately, she made a little slip so she didn't jump as high and Hunny almost let her slip out of his arms. I was close to laughing at her until Hunny slowly brought her down and she was looking deep into his eyes with her hands on his chest, the both of them blushing. I can see them falling for each other. I thought I was mad until I felt one eye hot and wet. It was a tear falling. I quickly wiped it away and grabbed Marcus to the side once more. "What's the matter, Hanna?" he asks. "Nothing. Let's just get this little dance off over with," I say angrily. "Alright alright already," Marcus exclaims, "we just need to repeat their last dance move but it has to be perfect compared to their little fumble." I nod my head and I brace myself for the jump. I can feel my ankle throbbing but I gulp and suck up the pain. I get my running start and I can feel my ankle pulsing like its about to burst. I get distracted and don't push off on time so I have to jump high by forcing my ankle down. Boy this is gonna hurt. I squint in agony and push off. While I'm in the air before Marcus catches me, time slows down in my head. I get a glimpse of Hunny and Alice. He's watching me with his sincere eyes; his boyish face; his sweet smile. Then altogether I realize. I'm in love.

Time speeds back up and Marcus catches me in perfect form and slowly lets me down. As he does, I catch him staring at me and we lock gazes. His eyes are serious yet sincere and then I understand. We snap out of the stare when we receive a thunderous applause from the audience. I look around for Alice and once I finally find her, I give her my best smirk to let her know that I've won and she has lost. She pouts and I see Hunny clapping for us next to her. I give him a warm smile and begin walking towards him. My ankle finally gives out on me when I get halfway across the floor. I fall to the floor and try to pick myself up but continuously fail. Hunny and Marcus rush over to my side while everyone encircles me. Okay, seriously? I need air people, let me breathe. "She needs to go lay down," Marcus says very concerned. "I agree," Hunny says," I'll take her there." He begins to pick me up and I feel my face getting hot. However, Alice stops him. "Hunny-senpai, I thought we were supposed to have our night together?" she says in such a sweet tone that Hunny possibly couldn't turn her down. After all, she won his time tonight, not me. Hunny sighs, "I'm sorry Hanna, she's right. I'll visit you later on." I nod. "I understand..I'm sorry we didn't get our dance.." I say. "We'll have it another time Hanna, just get better." Hunny goes to Alice and Marcus comes to my side to pick me up. He carries me for a while to get to a an actual bed considering how big this place is. "You're really stubborn y'know?" Marcus says, "but I realize you girls have your rivalries." I blush a tad bit but quickly shake my head. "That girl is a spoiled brat and doesn't deserve Hunny's attention even for a second," I state it so harshly that even Marcus is caught off guard. He looks at me for a moment and finally opens the door to a guest room. He carries me to the bed and gently places me on it. "Well don't worry too much about it Hanna, you need to rest." I nod my head as he walks away. "But I had fun tonight," he says with his hand on the doorframe, "in fact, the most fun I've had in a while.." He trails off and slowly shuts the door. I let out a gigantic sigh and sit up to examine my ankle. The swelling has gotten worse and the bruising as well. I lay back down and let out another sigh. I'm so stupid. Now I've ruined my whole night. I cover myself with the sheets on the bed and drift off to sleep.
