Abigail's POV

"Abby, are you sure you're fine with it?" Mom asked.

"Yeah," I answered, not making any eye contact with her.

My mom and dad got divorced because my dad got caught with another woman, typical cliché story.

So, here I am with my little brother, Max and my mom inside a minivan, heading to New York's airport. We were heading to Buckingham since our grandpa is living there. I sighed, Im going to miss New York. I already had friends in school back at New York, and then this incident happen. What will be the life in Buckingham? I wish life would be easier there. I wish that these memories will be gone, I wish that problems will be solved,

but it isn't that easy.

As the van came to a stop close to the entrance door of the airport, we bid our goodbyes to my uncle, who was the one who drove us here, and grabbed our luggages.

"Its okay. It's gonna be fine, enjoy your life there in the UK," My uncle said, smiling, while unloading the baggage from the trunk.

My mom just nodded, she looked like she was about to burst into tears. My uncle, noticing it, started rubbing soft circles on my mom's back, comforting her.

"Go now, you'll be late for your flight. Bye! Have a safe trip!" My uncle said, waving us goodbye.

We said our final goodbyes and walked inside the entrance door as soon as my uncle's van had drove off.

We were greeted by the workers and we handed her our passports, after a while, she handed us our tickets and waited at the waiting area where there were seats occupied by people.

"Looks like we're gonna be standing," My mom muttered, as she let go of Max's hand.

"Mommy, where are you going?" The little six year old questioned mom.

"Honey, I'm just going to the restroom. I'll be back in a while," My mom said particularly to me.

"Okay, mommy," My little brother smiled.

"Abby, sweetie, please look over your brother, I'll be right back," She announced.

"K, mom," I said emotionless as she headed to the restrooms, leaving my brother and I alone.

After a while, before my mom arrived, the plane we've booked was being called for boarding.

"C'mon, lets go," My mom said while wiping off her wet hands on her trousers.

The airplane ride was boring. All I ever did was listen to music, but stopped afterwards as the pilot instructed us to switch off all the gadgets. I stared out the airplane window and was greeted by the soft, and bright clouds. I sighed as I remembered all the memories I had with my friends back in New York. Even though that we might have bad memories, I'll treasure them forever.

As I looked back at the view, I suddenly felt my eye lids getting heavy. And after a few moments, I drifted off to sleep.

"Abby," I felt someone shake me, and I instantly woke up, "We've landed," my mother smiled. I nodded and stood up, trying to pull Max, who was busy staring at the baggages which was being unloaded.

By the time we saw our granpa, an uneasy feeling started to grow in my stomach.

Buckingham, please be good.
