Chapter Thirteen

Zaria -

"Ok I like this dress " I smiled walking out the dressing room ' .

"I like it too but to much is going on with it " Lana said , and she was right .

"Something more simple , but still popping out " I looked over and saw Jerome I nearly jumped out of my skin he said he would be packing since he has to move in five days.

"Oh my gosh " I smiled as I hugged him and he wrapped his arms back around me .

"Y'all should match .. And take pictures so they could be memorial since it will be his last day on graduation " Lana said I looked at Jerome as he nodded .

"Royal blue and white " he said I smiled and nodded .

"So cute I'm gonna cry , why can't your brother be this sweet ? " Lana fake cried as shared a laugh .

"Let me see your dress " my mom said as I grabbed it off the hanger and handed it to her as she smiled .

"Me and Jerome are gonna match " I smiled as she looked at me funny .

"He agreed to wearing a dress ? " She said with a raised brow ' I shook my head laughing.

"No just same colors " I said pulling out my phone as it buzzed I saw that it was Jerome I could feel my cheeks spreading and my face turning red .

"Hey " I smiled as if he could see me as I walked out of the house and going to the pool house.

"Uh , I want be able to make it to your graduation party ... And Uhm .. "

"W-what ? " I asked as I sat down in the chair.

"My parents are making us move tommrow ..and the school just gonna give me my things saying I passed .. I'm so sorry I didn't know they was doing this " he mumbled the last part.

"B-but I just saw you " I said.

"I know , and when I came home a packet of papers were on the counter and my mom told me today was my last day at that school and were gonna be leaving for Chicago around one in the afternoon " he said, I couldn't be mad I mean why should I ? It's no guys fault that he has to move ... I'm more sad then anything though .

"Uh .. I gotta go Jerome " I said hanging up my phone tossing it next to me pulling the curtains that hung over the bed up and watched the sun set ' and the water was up shore .

"Hunny you ok ? " I turned around to see my grandmother I nodded turning back looking at the sky .

"Come on tell me what's wrong " she said as she sat down and I turned around facing her Indian style .

"Well .. My you know is moving away but I see it more then that he's a really great friend grandma and has been through a lot and i have to and he's the only person I could tell and vent to about my problems he would help me rather I'm wrong or right " I said as a tear escaped my eyes .

"Hunny I'm sure he will visit " she said trying to make me feel better I appreciated it but nothing was working .

"He want grandma ..Chicago is where he staying he has no family out here ' all his family lives up in New York and down in Virgina " I said ' .

"Let it go baby , if it's true it will come back" she said I nodded as

She wrapped her arms around me as her long grey hair flowed along with the breeze that was hitting us .

"Zaria did you know you from New York you was born in New York ? " My grand momma asked as I looked up at her confused .
