An Apology (Part 1)

A/N: Before we begin here is what Jacob looks like:

I looked at my clock to see it read 11:30. I didn't realize it gotten this late. I sighed before changing my clothes and laying down. I turned off my lamp and I was about to fall asleep but my phone vibrated. 'Are you serious?'  I was about to go off until I realized who it was.

Ken: Hey

Me (Aya): Hey
Me: Why are you up so late?

Ken: Thinking

Me: About?

Ken: The competition and
everything that's going on

Me: Oh
Me: Don't stress
yourself too much

Ken: Yeah I will
Ken: I'll see you tomorrow
Ken: Good Night

Me: Night

~End of conversation~

I sighed. I couldn't shake the feeling that something was seriously wrong. I laid down and drifted off to sleep. After what felt like a few minutes my alarm went off. I groaned before turning it off. Someone then knocked on my door.

"I'm going to train with the others." Wakiya said. I looked at my phone to realize that it was Saturday. Relief flooded over me. I hummed an okay as I laid back down. "We need to talk later." I stared at that door. "Okay, but I'm going to come home late." I said.

It went quiet for a while. "We'll talk when we can." Was all he said before walking away. I sighed once again. My phone then buzzed. To my surprise it was Jacob.

Jacob: Hey

Me: You are the last person
I'd expect to text me

Jacob: Shut up
Jacob: Can we talk

Me: We are

Jacob: In person
Jacob: Please

Me: Yeah
Me: Meet me at the park

I stood up and headed for my closet. I put together an outfit and fixed me hair.

I looked in the mirror making sure everything was
straight before walking out. I popped in my headphones and listened to music on the way there. (Play music now) I smiled and swayed to the beat. I love them so much and they are all adorable.

All the good memories flooded into my mind. The ones with Wakiya when we were younger, the ones with Lui even its hard to believe, Xander and some with Jacob. I soon entered the park and I saw Jacob sitting on a bench playing with his phone. I decided to creep up behind him. "Don't even try it." He said. I sighed before going around and standing in front of him.

"What do you want?" I asked. He sighed. "Sorry." He mumbled. I stared at him. 'Did he just...?'. "Sorry could you repeat that?" I asked. He ran his hand though his hair. "I said I was sorry. I shouldn't treat you the way I do. The night of the party...something came over me and I took things too far. Do you forgive me?"

I kept staring at him. He didn't deserve to be forgiven but that sounded extremely sincere. I smiled softly. "Of course I do." He looked up at me surprised. "Really?" I nodded. "Even though you did some horrible things, you apologized. Even in person. So let's try this again. Hey, I'm Aya Murasaki." I said holding my hand out. He stared at it for a few seconds before smiling and grabbing it. "I'm Jacob. Nice to meet you."

We ended up sitting together and talking about random things. "So, what's it like to be a blader?" He asked. "It's amazing. Your bey is your partner and you go through every battle together." I said. "And what's going on between you and that Ken guy?" He asked. I was caught off guard. "Oh...we're...I don't know. Things have been weird lately." I said.

"Weird how?" I hesitated. "Well...ever since Lui came-" , "Wait Lui showed up?" I nodded. "Ever since he came I feel like he's avoiding me but it's not just him. It's the whole team. Last night he texted me and I couldn't shake off this feeling that something is wrong. All these thoughts keep coming into my head and they are just so so..." I was so into it I didn't realize I was crying. Jacob pulled me into a hug.

"It's okay. Just breath." I hugged him back. We stayed like that until my breathing leveled out. "Thanks." I said pulling away. "I could talk to him for you." I smiled and shook my head. "I have to do it." He nodded. We were sitting in a comfortable silence when our phones buzzed. It was from the manager. 'Hey guys. I need you to come down and practice.' I sighed knowing I had to work on why was supposed to be my day off.

~Le Time Skip~
After a long practice it was finally time for me to go home. "Nice job today." Jacob said. "You too." I said falling on the couch. "You going to sleep here?" He asked. I groaned. He chuckled before picking me up. "What are you doing?" , "Do you want to walk home?" I shook me head. "Then don't complain."

We soon made it home. "Why are you here?" Wakiya asked. "Calm down. He's helping me." I said. I told Jacob where to go and I finally ended up in my nice soft bed. "You should stay over." , "I don't have any clothes." , "I can lend you one of my oversized shirts." He nodded.
