Thea

I sigh as I plop down onto my bed. I roll over and grab the earbuds sitting on my nightstand. Plugging the end into my phone, I start my playlist, the first song being "Stolen Dance" by Milky Chance. Just then, my ringtone sounds with a text from Logan.

Wolf Boy: How was your day?

It has been two weeks since Logan told me about his true identity. Honestly, they have been the best two weeks of my life. I just feel...complete, happy, loved.

I know I sound sappy, but it's the truth. I haven't told my parents yet, mostly because I plan on telling them that he is a werewolf and not just my boyfriend. Logan is pretty hesitant, but he knows it has to be done. I just hope they don't tell anyone.

I reply to Logan's text:

Me: It was good. What about you?

He sends me texts every morning and every night. He tries to text or call whenever he has time, but that isn't often since his dad just handed over the Alpha title. Really, I don't mind. I just like that he is thinking about me.

Wolf Boy: Great, now that I know yours went well.

I can't help the smile that crawls onto my face. My stomach squirms as I reread his message.

Me: Haha. How was Alpha duties?

Wolf Boy: Good, I guess. I shouldn't be as busy once everything from the war with the Black Claws is settled.

He has told me much about the war with the Black Claws. I am now more grateful than ever that I listen to him and never went into the forest. He has also told ms about pack life: about the customs of his pack versus others, how mind-link works, as well as the different kinds of training they do to protect themselves.

I realize I was lost in thought and begin to type a response:

Me: Yeah, hopefully.

Wolf Boy: Can you talk right now? I know it's late, but I wanted a chance to just talk.

Me: Sure, I guess. I don't feel like I will be falling asleep soon anyways.

Wolf Boy: Great!

I lay back down and wait for my phone to ring. It's almost 11 PM but my mind is still buzzing in the hope of hearing from Logan. I didn't used to get this happy about just hearing someone's voice, but now it is a common occurance for me when it comes to Wolf Boy.

I wait about five minutes before my excitement starts to diminish. Did something come up? Did he fall asleep? Did he decide not to and just not tell me? I know it has only been a few minutes, but I can't help feeling a little let down. I'm sure he has a good explanation for this.

I wait five more minutes before turning off my lights and rolling onto my side. I keep my phone in my hand, still hoping he will call.

Just as I start to fall asleep, I hear something hit my window. I crack my eyes open and still my movements. I hear the same sound again. I stand up from my bed and slowly creep to the window. Once I am about three paces away from the window, I see a tiny pebble hit the window pane. Was someone trying to get my attention? Did Dad lock himself outside again?

I rush over to the window and open it. I look down only to see a half dressed Wolf Boy staring up at me, smiling like crazy.

"Wolf Boy!" I whisper-shout. "What are you doing here?" I furrow my eyebrows and cross my arms.
