»I'm so sorry but I'm in the middle of reshoots for Chaos Walking. They won't let me take a couple of days off.« Tom apologized.
I sighed as I ran one hand through my curls. I should have known that Tom wouldn't be able to make it to New York since the reshoots for his movie Chaos Walking had already been canceled twice because he and his co-star Daisy were too busy with other projects.
Going with Tom would have been the first time in my career that I enter the Met Gala with a date, which was the original plan since my manager Ash wanted to give me a little media push. That's why I had asked Tom if he would be my date for the night since I didn't want to walk over the red carpet with a guy I've never met before.
»No, don't apologize. It's not your fault that you're busy. I totally understand.« I sighed, trying not to show how disappointed I was.
»I'm really sorry, Rey. You know that I was looking forward to go with you.« Tom said honestly.
»I know, Spidey. Don't worry about it, we will just attend the next Met Gala together.« I said, making Tom laugh.

I couldn't help myself from laughing as I walked down the hallway of the Tommy Hilfiger building.
