That was the perfect word to describe the meeting. It wasn't because Shawn used to text a different girl every five minutes while Tommy explained that Shawn and I would represent the brand. However, Shawn didn't really look like he cared about the Met Gala, so why was he here?
»You don't really look happy.« Ash said after we walked out of the meeting room.
»Because I'm not.« I said as I crossed my arms over my chest. »I can't believe that you would set me up with Shawn Mendes!«
»And what's wrong with that? You both needed a date for the Met Gala, so why not go together?«
I rolled my eyes in annoyance, thinking about all the girls Shawn had been texting during the meeting. »He doesn't even take the Met Gala serious.«
»That's not true. Shawn takes the Met Gala just as serious as you do.« Ash defended him.
»Oh really? That doesn't really look like it when he was texting some random girls during the meeting.«
Ash rolled her eyes as she placed one hand on my shoulder, trying to calm me down. »Take it easy on him. He just ... doesn't has the best experience when it comes to the Met Gala.«
It took me a quick moment to figure out what she wanted to tell me when I remembered what happen at the last Met Gala. I think it was the first time that Shawn had gone to the Met Gala and everyone was surprised when they saw who the lucky girl on his side was.

Even though they denied it, everyone knew that Shawn and Hailey were a couple. The way Shawn had looked at her the whole night had told me that he was head over heels for her and it also looked liked Hailey felt the same way about him.
