I let out a sigh, looking at Kelsey before she spoke. "Now how about we head up to your room and help you unpack?" she asked with a smile.
I nodded and started to head to the stairs until I hear Kelsey start running. "Bet you I can make it there before you." she said with a laugh.
"How dare you, and knowing you'll lose." I fake gasp before laughing, running up the steps behind her. I made it to my room, a second before she did as I yelled, "I win!" I could tell something was bothering her but I decided to not ask as she asked where my bags where.
"In the closet to the right." I say, pointing to the closet before sitting on the bed. Kelsey grabbed a bag from the closet, throwing it on the bed. We both jump at the sound of something crashing once it the bed. "What the heck do you have in there?! What the heck did I just break?" Kelsey yelled and I looked at her a little confused and nervous.
"I don't know." I say slowly, realizing which bag it was. "I didn't put anything breakable in this bag because of my hiking boots."
"Okay, one, what was it then?" Kelsey asked, looking confused herself. "And two, when did my bookworm, tech-loving sister get herself some hiking boots?" she asked.
"One, I have no idea." I told her. "Two, I can like outdoorsy things too." I started to walk to the bag, slowly unzipping. Kelsey yelled out of nowhere, causing me to jump with her giggling behind me.
"Have I ever told you how much I hated you?" I asked, a hand over my rapidly beating heart. She pouted, saying, "Ouch, that hurt sis." I turned back to the bag. "Good." I said flatly, looking through the bag, pulling out an object with wires.
"What is that?" Kelsey asked. I looked up at her for a second. "It looks...." I trailed off, looking at the camera. "It looks like what?" she asked. "A camera." I say, my face turning pale and hers turning stone.
"Okay, Raven. We are going downstairs now and calling the police." Kelsey stated as thunder boomed outside, causing both of us to jump.
"Okay Kels," I said as we both made our way downstairs to the phone. Rain could be heard from outside. 'When did it start raining?' I asked myself as Kelsey started dialing the phone.
"Crap," she said as I looked at her. "The phone doesn't like the work, but you would think it would at least help us a little. I guess the world is trying hard on us, huh Rav?" She asked. I could tell she was trying to lighten the mood. "At least it couldn't get any worse," she said, turning and almost freezing in her place.
"Kelsey, what is it?" I asked before looking in the same direction, noticing the yellow eyes. My heart slowly starting to beat fast again. "K-Kelsey. What's that?" I ask slowly.
"I- I'm not sure.." She said, titling her head at the creature. "We've met before though." she simply stated. I looked at her with a raised brow.
"And you didn't tell me?!" I asked, confused on why she wouldn't tell me. I thought we told each other everything. "I didn't know how to." she said. "I wanted your stay to be peaceful."
"Yeah. Peaceful. A stalker and a creature with yellow eyes is peaceful." I said sarcastically. "I didn't think he'd follow me here." I added before hearing something down the hall. "Kelsey.." I trailed off. "I heard it too." she said.
I swallowed before walking into the kitchen and grabbing the biggest knife I could find before slowly walking down the hall. Kelsey was behind me with a smaller knife. I hesitantly looked around, noticing the room I was staying in's door was closed. "I didn't shut that. Did you?" I whispered at Kelsey who just shook her head. I nodded slowly, tiptoeing to the room and slowly turning the knob. I went to open it but the door got slammed back shut and I heard it lock.
"H-He's in the house." I said, backing away from the door. "He has access to everything about me." I whispered. "I left my phone, my laptop, everything in that room." I added, looking scared as I looked at Kelsey. "What do we do?" I asked.
Kelsey looked at me, the same amount of shock written on her face. "I'm not sure." she said before adding, "Wait!" she whisper-yelled before running softly to her and Drago's room. I followed behind her and watched as she grabbed her phone. "My phone works but it has spotty signal. We just need to find somewhere where the connection is good and we can call someone." She said the minute the lights shut off. "Great, now no lights." I muttered as I hear a male's voice laugh sinisterly.
"You thought you could get away from me that easily, Raven?" He said, sounding like his voice was coming from a speaker. It was also deep and programmed so you couldn't tell who it was. "You should know you can never run from me. I'm everywhere you are." he said with a laugh. "And now, I know everything about you. Even your secrets." He said.
"Why are you doing this?!" I yelled loudly, so he could hear. Kelsey came near me, in case something happened. We both still had the knives in our hands.
"You broke my heart in high school." He stated. "I want revenge." he said. I was confused. "I never broke anyone's heart! What are you saying?" I asked. "You didn't want me. I wanted you. I still want you. And if I can't have you, no one can." he stated angrily before he stopped talking. I turned to Kelsey although I couldn't really see her because the lights were out.
"What's he talking about?" she asked. I shrugged. "I don't really know, I can't remember anyth-" I cut myself off. "Oh no," I whispered. "What is it?" she asked.
I went to tell her who I think it was before hearing the door open and arms grabbing me. I yelled before a hand muffled my mouth. My hands flew up to his arm, trying to remove his hand from my mouth. Kelsey started freaking out, walking closer, trying to cut the man with her knife. She ended up cutting his arm and he ran back to the guest room, dropping me on the floor. I was breathing heavy, tears escaping my eyes.
Kelsey fell to her knees and crawled to me. "Are you okay?!" she asked panicked. I let out a few deep breaths. "W-When you cut him," I started to say. "You also cut me." I said, holding my forearm as it was bleeding.
"Raven, I'm so sorry, I couldn't see and I was only trying to get him." She started rambling. I reached out and grabbed one of her hands. "Sis, it's okay. You did what you had to do. I'll be fine, I just need something to wrap it with." I said as I slowly stood up, walking to the kitchen, sitting at the island. Kelsey followed behind, searching the drawers with her phone flashlight.
