Damon and I continued to walk, trying to find Kelsey. We didn't know the first place to look though. "This is pointless." I mumbled and sat on a rock. "Look, we'll find her. Somehow." Damon mumbled, sitting next to me.
I sighed as I heard rustling behind us and jumped up, looking to see an attractive male around his early twenties. "What the hell man?" I asked, looking at him.
"Me? What the hell are you guys doing?" he asked, his accent prominent. Damon cleared his throat and looked at the man. "We're trying to find my sister. What's your excuse?" I ask, crossing my arms.
"I, uh, protect people." He said quietly. "My name's Dacre." he said with a charming smile. I couldn't help but smile back. "Raven." I said. "And I'm Damon." Damon nodded.
"Nice to meet you guys. Do you need help finding your sister?" Dacre asked and I nodded, ignoring Damon who was saying no. "Yeah, we do actually." Dacre nodded and told him to follow him. I looked at Damon who had a weird expression on his face.
"What? He's cute." I smiled and caught up with Dacre by jogging. Damon followed behind a few feet, sulking a little but he wouldn't let anyone know he was.
After a few very long minutes of walking, I stopped for a moment, evening out my breathing and looking at the two guys in front of me. "Okay, we have no idea where the hell she could be. Why are we even walking? And where the hell did you even come from?" I asked Dacre.
He chuckled and took a step closer. "You see, when a man and woman love each other very much they-"
I cut him off. "You know I didn't mean that. Why are you in the woods?" I ask, raising a brow.
Dacre sighed as Damon looked at both of us. "Look, he's a weirdo who was on the woods. Let's just leave him and continued looking for Kelsey." He said.
Dacre laughed. "Says the one who's also in the woods." he muttered, looking at me. "I heard movement and it led me to you." he shrugged.
Damon snickered and I slapped his arm. "Shut the hell up." I muttered and Damon looked at me. "I didn't say anything!" he said. I just looked at him, rolling my eyes.
"Okay. So where should we go now? Right? Left? Straight?" I asked, running a hand through my hair, hearing rustling of leaves behind me. "What the- What was that?" I ask turning around.
Dacre got in front of me and held an arm out to hold me back. "I don't know. But whatever it is, it sounds big." he said quietly.
Damon rolled his eyes. "Like you'd know." he muttered. Dacre and I ignored him as we looked around, trying to figure out where the sound came from.
The rustling got closer and we see furry paws, walking towards us. I looked up to the creatures face and went pale. "What the hell is that?" I asked quietly as the creature stood on its hind legs, roaring and starting running towards us.
"Shit. Shit. Short. Run!" Dacre yelled and grabbed my hand and started running. While we ran, I grabbed Damon's hand and we all three were running from the creature. We found a big log and hid behind it as we heard the creature walking around. We controlled our breathing to be quiet as can be.
