Betrayal

On an isolated island, a nineteen year old stood about 6'4, looking out into the endless sea with a hundred impressive looking (and some cute and born for cuddling :P) pokemon beside and behind him. One electric yellow mouse was crouched on his shoulder. It had bright yellow fur, long ears with black tips, red cheeks that stored and released electricity and a tail in the shape of a lightning bolt. This was the man's ever faithful and loyal friend, Pikachu. They never left each other willingly.

Every single pokemon was watching the ocean, watching the salty waters lap onto the shores and waves gathering. Everything was silent. The pokemon stayed like that for a few minutes. Everything was peaceful.

A large pokemon decided to break the silence, "Hey love, what you thinking about?"

He could understand pokemon speech perfectly, thanks to his aura powers and being a pokemon himself.

200 eyes went to the pokemon and then 100 went to Ash, expecting an answer.

"Oh, not much really. Just about our life before this and how this is a so much better way of living." The man answered with a sigh.

Many of the pokemon looked angry at the mention of before while some looked relieved that he was happy here. Even though Pikachu was the only pokemon who was wih Ash when it happened, all of the pokemon there knew about it. Ash sighed and looked up at the sky, try as he would, he wouldn't ever forget the day in Pallet Town.

FLASHBACK

A 14 year old Ash was walking along a dirt road with Pikachu on his shoulder. He was on his way to Pallet town after losing in the Vetress Conference in the Unova League. He made it into the finals, where he lost to his rival Trip.

Now he ws on his own as his friends in Unova, Iris and Cilan, went to Opuleucid City and Striaton City respectively. Leaving him and Pikachu to go to Kanto by themselves. Now they were both looking forward to going home and eating Delia Ketchum's cooking. They were both sure they could already taste it. By the time they got to the top of the hill of Pallet, Ash turned to his partner and said,

"Hey buddy, Last one home doesn't get thirds!"

And with that, they took off speeding home in a desperate attempt to win.

Eventually, the duo  arrived at Ash's house with Pikachu back on his usual perch, Ash's shoulder. Ash opened the door and called to his mom.

"Mom, I'm back from the league!"

"Pika Pika. Pikachu." Pikachu said as he made it clear he was with Ash.

As and Pikachu walked into the kitchen to be pulled into a HUGE hug by his mom. After letting go of Ash, she looked at them and told him,

"I made dinner for you both, there's plenty so eat up honey."

Ash and Pikachu's eyes widened. Only then did the two see their friends standing behind the table, glaring at the pair. Standing there was Brock, Misty, May, Max, Dawn, Gary, Drew, Iris, Cilan and surprisingly Trip. Iris and Cilan standing there confused him.

"Guys, why are you here? Iris and Cilan, aren't you suppose to be going home? Ash asked, obviously confused.

None of them answered for a while, they just glared at them until Brock spoke up, apparently for everyone.

"I think i speak for everyone here when i say that you have to give up on your dreams." Brock said coldly.

Ash looked around the room, expecting someone to argue with the cold statement that came from Brock, but no one did. They just nodded in agreement to the sentence.

To Ash and Pikachu, this was a betrayal. Ash, now regaining his voice, asked,

"How come I have to give up?  I didn't do anything to you."

This time it was Gary who spoke up, "It's because your a loser! You've been a trainer for god knows how long and you still haven't won anything important. Be more like me and do something useful. Now that i'm a researcher, i'm happier than i was before. Ash looked around expecting someone to come to his support. All of the sudden Ash and Pikachu were surrounded in white, both their eyes pure white and they both spoke in unison,

"YOU ALL HAVE MADE A GRAVE MISTAKE! YOU WILL ALL BE SORRY FOR ABANDONING MY CHOSEN! EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!"

The light died down and Ash turned around by spinning on his heel.

"Let's go Pikachu." Pikachu nodded, resisting the urge to shock the hell out of them with a full powered thunder.

"Your not going so easily. Use Water Gun Staryu!" Misty growled.

The others quicky joined in, Marshtomp/ Roserade/ Blastoise/ Pansage/ Blaziken/ Piplup/ Dragonite/ Serperior, Use Mudshot/ Petal Dance/ Hydro Cannon/ Bullet Seed/ Overheat/ Bubble Beam/ Dragon Rage/ Leaf Storm!

The traitors looked smug but Ash and Pikachu weren't taking it.

"Dodge with Quick Attack and use Thunder Mirror." Ash ordered.

Pikachu took off at a lightning speed before zipping past the mud and petals, over a hydro cannon and below a over heat, spinning gracefully through a bullet seed as Thunder Mirror took effect, sliding under the dragon rage, digging under the ground to avoid the bubble beam. As Thunder Mirror was fully charged, he unleashed it. Each pokemon was hit by it's own attacks combined with a Thunder that could rival Zapdos and Zekrom, electricity cackling noisily. All of the pokemon fell to the ground fainted, swirls dancing in their angry eyes.

"Lets go." Ash spoke firmly.

Pikachu gave the ex friends one last glare before he hopped onto his best friend's shoulder.

Ash ran towards Prof.Oak to get the rest of their pokemon. As they arrived Ash told the professor about everything. He was seriously surprised that the people there would do that, most surprised with his grandson Gary. After that, Ash gathered all his pokemon and Ash was ready to set off until the professor stopped him.

"Ash, listen to me, I know that you can become a champion if you choose, just promise me that you will NEVER give up."

When he saw Ash nod, he continued, " Take this. It's a prototype but it'll work nonetheless. It looks like a normal watch but it's a high tech device that has almost unlimited purposes. It's called a nano dex. You can call people. send mesages, it gives a hologram of the pokemon scanned, a videolog, unlimited supply of pokemon storage and much more that i can not explain right now.

Ash managed to choke out a thank you to the professor before he left with a goodbye.

As Ashput his new Nano Dex on, he and Pikachu took off down Route One and towards the Forest, Almost never to be seen again. Ash and Pikachu went around Kanto, gathering old friends. Squirtle which had evolved to a Blastiose and Primeape before leaving the region to be the very best.
