"Jeongguk..," his mother cried out for his son that was piling clothes on his bed, "Are you really going to leave me!" She exclaimed, rushing to her son's side. She hugged him tightly, arms loving embracing the young boy.

Jeongguk placed his soft hands on his mothers face as his thumbs brushed across her tear stained cheeks. He smiled.

"I'll visit every 2 weeks Momma," he sighed, hurt by his mother's broken expression, "I'll send you paintings every now and then."

Jeongguk patted his mother's back, smiling as he tried to comfort her. Three knocks on the front door sounded through the quiet hall.

When his mother walked to open the door, Jeongguk stared at his clothes. He saw a yellow shirt that said 'Momma's boy' from when he was a little wee child, some pants that were torn on one leg from his.. father, and finally his he saw his precious red tuque that his Jinnie hyung gave him when he turned 13, the year when his father was officially reported dead.

He breathed deeply, watching how his chest pumps up slowly. Almost forgetting to exhale, Jeongguk coughed vigorously. As his eyes fluttered open, they land upon a painting on his wall that he decided to leave behind.

They were only sloshes, but he believed it was his best work ever. Not that portrait of his mother. Not that painting of the wooden garden in Naengjeung Valley. He loved sploshes. He loved his sloshes. Those paintings are where he truly felt accepted. Where he didn't feel like a failure.

Before Jeongguk's insecurities swallow him whole at the thought of failure, his mother sobbed.

"Jinnie hyung is here..," she croaked, pulling a chair for Jinnie hyung to sit, "A-are you almost finished p-packing?" She questioned in a pained tone.

Jeongguk tilted his head, pointing at the bed which no longer had clothes laying. As his momma examined the room, she tried to fight the tears, yet they still fell.

Jeongguk ran up to her, engulfing her into his arms.

He leaned his mouth to her ear, "Please stay strong Momma," he said so faintly.

Jeongguk picked up his his bags, fists clenched across the handle. He wiped the excess tears on his cheek. He was strong! Not a crybaby for goodness sakes.

"Hello Jinnie hyung! I missed you," Jeongguk jokingly whined as he saw his favourite hyung sitting.

Jinnie hyung got up on his feet and squeezed Jeongguk's cheek, "Gee our prince~ we saw each other 10 hours ago!" He exclaimed to the younger boy.

Shoudlers almost breaking off due to his bags, he waved his hand towards his mother who leaned on the edge of the door, crying shamelessly.

She cups her mouth to her mouth, sprouting her bits of energy together, "JEON JEONGGUK I LOVE YOU," she screams with the top of her lungs as each word pierced her heart. Her neck sizzled. She just hopes he doesn't experience what happened to her.
