Is it love, or just lonely?

Chapter 20

Ryes pov:
When the schoolmaster was done with being the most annoying person on earth, finally. He expelled Mikey en me for a whole week, great. I mean sure, now we were able to skip to school legally. But still, Andy and I are getting along now and I don't know what can happen in a week...
Mikey was pretty excited about it, he gets expelled even more often then i do. He always plans things he can do while others are at school. He calls it the "Fuck y'all, I'm free list". It's pretty stupid but then after all it's still Mikey we're talking about. While mikey and I were walking  to the exit of the school I kept thinking about Andy, it's was actually pretty scary when he past out. I hope he is doing better now and that the hospital takes good care of him. It's strange that I care so much about him. I mean, sure I also care about Mikey and jack but they're just my friends, this is so different. I've had relationships before but non of them gave me this caring feeling. Truly honest it's freaking me out. Because what if he doesn't like me back or something. He has enough reason to. It was a super annoying feeling and I wanted to get rid of it. But how? Maybe I should just ask him, or is that super weird? Probably, but otherwise i'll never found out.
'So? You're in?' Mikey at once said.

Ryan: 'Wait what?' And he came out of his thoughts.

Mikey: 'Are you seriously saying you didn't hear a word of what I said.'

Ryan: 'Uhm no... sorry. I can't go anyway. I'm going to Andy, see if he's ok.'

Mikey started laughing

Ryan: 'What, I'm sorry for caring.'

Mikey: 'No, that's not it. I literally said that we should get in my car, go to the shop so you can get something for Andy and then we're going too his hous.'

Ryan started laughing a bit too.
'Oh well, in that case.. i do hope he doesn't have to stay in the hospital. Then we're either standing for a closed door or his mom opens the door.'

Mikey: 'What's wrong with his mom?'

Ryan: 'Well... we aren't exactly friends.'

Mikey looked a bit disappointing: 'Oh god Ryan what did you do this time.'

When they got to the car Mikey said something that caused him a bruise from rye. 'Soo lets go to your beautiful little pet.' Rye didn't really liked that. 'Auch, you son of a bitch.' And he tried to hit him as well but Ryan was fast and avoided Mikey's hand. 'You're lucky this time Ryan Beaumont.' He said trying to sound as serious as possible but failed instantly and with big smiles they both got into the car on their way to the shop and Andy's house.
They arrived at the shop in less then 10 minutes. Ryan started to get a bit nervous but didn't wanted to show it, but Mikey could see Ryan was nervous. He was Ryan's best friend and they knew each other since they were only 2 years old. Mikey's mother was friends with Rye's mother since high school. But after Ryan's mother died, Mikey's parents didn't talked to Ryan's father anymore. What of course, is kind of obvious since Ryan's father is just an abusive alcoholic.

Mikey: 'What are you gonna get for him. I mean chocolate is a bit.. well... you know. Because he's anorexic...
And roses are maybe a bit too gay.'

Ryan: 'First of all, I'm not gay. Second of all I already know what I'm going to buy for him.'

Mikey: 'Ok well if you're not gay then what are you?'

Ryan: 'I don't know, I guess I'm just straight with interest for one boy.'

Mikey raised one of his eyebrows but left it for what it was. 'Well what are you giving him then?'

Ryan: 'Do you remember that time when you me and jack waited for him by the street for his house. To well you know, beat him up....'

Mikey: 'Uhm kind of but I really don't think you should bring that up, not sure if that's gonna help.'

Ryan: 'No of course not! But when jack hit him in his face I took Andy's backpack to see what was in it. There was a picture of him, his mother and his father. It's was a beautiful photo in a black picture frame with little red hearts. I threw it on the ground right in front of his face. I saw in his eyes that it meant a lot to him. The only thing I have to do is find the picture frame.'

Mikey: 'So you're going to give him a picture frame.' And he raised his eyebrow again.

Ryan: 'Yes, with the picture that was in it.'

Mikey: 'And how are you going to do that. You broke it remember.'

Ryan: 'Uhm well.. ok you have to promise you don't tell this to anyone ok?'

Mikey: 'Yeah, sure. I promise.'

Ryan: 'I saw it meant a lot for him, even before I broke it. So... I took a picture from the photo with my phone. I don't know.. I promised myself I would delete it the same day. But I couldn't.' He looked away and turned his face into the "badass" look he usually has at school and in public.

Mikey gave him a sweet smile 'You know that's really cute and really weird at the same time right.' Then his sweet smile turned into a funny laugh.

Ryan: 'Yeah, Yeah I know.' And he laughed as well.
