Tom swung the door open, eyes landed on the empty bed. 'Shit.' He cursed under his breath. Running a hand through his hair. Heading quickly to the bathroom to check there. But no sign of you there either. He could kill his sister for bering the past up. He was going to tell you on his terms. He wanted to make sure, that what was between the two of you was real. Well to him it was, it felt different then when he was with his ex wife Lanai. Tom rushed back down and towards the door grabbing the keys to the jag.

"Where the hell are you going Thomas?" Tom's sister bellowed behind him. As he flung the front door open with a hard thud against the wall. Daniel rushed inside, after hearing the commotion from inside.

"Wuncle Tom. Wer's you goin?" The little boy asked almost in tears. He grabbed ahold of Tom's hand before he had a chance to leave.

"Hey buddy it's okay. I'm just going to get y/n and take her home." Tom reassured Daniel. Not knowing what was going to happen, himself. He quickly glanced at his sister who was put off. Arms crossed over her chest. Her face scrunched up a annoyance.

"Why did she leave?" Daniel asked. Sad doe eyes looked up at Tom. "Did she not want to play with'h me?" Tears started to form in his ocean blue eyes. Tom knelt down giving the kid a hug. Tom sister huffed in the background.

"Oh, no buddy that's not it." Tom sighed as he wrapped and arm around the boy bring him closer. "It was my fault buddy.  She's mad at me." Tom squeezes Daniel shoulders.

"Can I come, wuncle Tom." Daniel pleaded looking up at Tom with big sad eyes again. Still wet with tears. Tom was about to say something when his sister cleared her throat.

"Absolutely not Daniel." Tom's sister half yelled. Tom glances over to her before going back to the boy. Daniel looked at his mom and started pouting.

"Buddy you got to stay here with your mum. I'm not sure when I'll be back or if I'll find y/n." Tom smiled down at Daniel. Trying to calm him, before he could start with the water works. Tom hope that you would give him a chance to explain. "I need you to be a good boy for mum. Can you do that for me?" Daniel sniffled with a little nod.

"Wuncle Tom when you make it all better with Nurse y/n can she come with us to get w'ice cream?" Daniel asked as he looked up, trying to sweet talk his uncle.
Tom kissed the top of his head before he stood up.

"Sure thing buddy if every thing goes well." Tom looked back over to his sister who was glaring. Then back to Daniel, patting Him on the back in the direction of his mum. As Tom walked out the door. Tom got into the drivers side of his car. Driving off in the direction of your normal route home.

You huffed in anger how could you be so blind, again. This was the reason why you tried so hard to resist your professor. How many girls could he have had. Then the thought that he had a kid. That Daniel was his. Why didn't he tell you that. You had made it 3 blocks before the tears started to fall. Then to top it all off it started to rain. Which only made the tears come out harder. Tom spotted you as the rain started up. Sighing in relief as he pulled along side of you. Rolling down the window he called for you. But you didn't hear him. Tom sighed, rolling up the window as he parked the jag off to the side. Then got out. Running over towards you. His long legs and runners build made it easy for him.

"Y/n, please let me explain. Just get in the car love." Tom pleaded with you. You looked cold beside soaking wet.

"No, Tom. I'm fine walking." You sniffled, as you kept your eyes forward not looking in to those eyes. As you kept walking down the wet cement.

"Please darling, you're getting soaked. And it's a 10 mile walk back." Tom throwing logic at you . Which made you stop and think looking over your shoulder at Tom. You huff shaking your head no, and started to walk again. Without another word. Tom grabbed ahold of your elbow making you stop.

"Professor Hiddleston, Why? What are you doing? You're just getting wet yourself." You sighed still trying not look at him.

"Well if you won't get in the car, then I'll walk you all the way home and back. Giving me a chance to explain everything to you, then you can decide what you want to do after that." Tom smile his Award winning smile that made you fall for him the first time. His eyes pleading you.

"Ugh, Fine Professor Hiddleston you can take me home." You grumbled as you turned towards his car. That gave Tom a bit of hope. As he smiled at you. Though he was still a bit worried. Tom rushed over before you could get to the car. Grabbing agile of the car doors handle, he opened it for you. After getting in, Tom shut the door then ran over to the drivers side, getting in himself. He looked over at you. Whipped tears away from your eyes, trying to make it look like you were drying your face off from the rain. While you stayed focus on the dashboard of the car. Staring at the smooth black interior. Tom sighed started the car. Turning the heat on for you.

"Where do I begin." He mumbled, trying to figure out a good beginning point. "So well yes Daniel is mine. Sarah is my sister, and not Daniel's real mom, Let's just make that clear. My sister, Sarah was babysitting for me and my ex all the time. When Lanai Daniel biological mom left us, he was only 8 months old." Tom took a deep breath. "After she left. I would come home late. I at the time throw myself into my work. Not being able to deal with my wife up and leaving me and our 8th month old son, without a word. All her belongings packed and gone. I had called it as a missing persons with Scotland Yard at first, then the more time went by, the more it was clear. She didn't want anything to do with us."

"My sister and her husband were trying for their own kids. They found out that they couldn't have any. And had been talking about adoption. I was having a hard time being a single dad. I'm not say what I did was easy, just giving my son to my sister.  But I was not fit to be Daniel father either, I was a mess myself. He needed parents a mother that will be there for and a father that will do the same and not one swallow up in his work." Tom explained, as you sat there.

You could tell Tom still got emotional about it. Though you weren't sure if it was the fact that his wife left or that he regret giving Daniel up. Now you could see why his sister was the way she was. She was only being protective. You weren't sure about any of it though. Why didn't Tom just tell you before all of this blow up. Though you were sure that it wasn't supposed to last this long either.

"We're here y/n." Tom voice cracked a little pulling you out of your thoughts. Looking out the window where he pointed. Tom did say that he would take you home. Explain everything. Though you weren't sure what to do or say. Let alone what were Tom's true feelings for you.
