JD X VERONICA (but Jd never dies)

Chapter 6// normalish day

Veronica was awoken by noises coming from the kitchen. There was a loud bang and crashes. She decided to go see what was up, she went to put her robe on as always but as she reached for it her robe turned red for a split second. She looked at it for a while confused but then another crash caught her out of her thinking. She quickly put her robe on and slippers.

As Veronica walked out she heard jd mutter under his breathe. "Jd?" She asks waiting for a reply but goes closer to investigate herself. She walked round to the kitchen and saw jd crouched on the floor with around five pots and pans around him. Veronica giggles a little "what are you doing?" She asked looking at him as jd looked up at her and sighed standing up.

"Well... I thought I would try and make breakfast for you but as I was trying to get to the frying pan to make bacon everything crashed on top of me". He chuckled a little and smiled at Veronica's little giggles. "Hey! It's not that funny!" He started laughing too "honestly Jason, you are so helpless". Jd stopped laughing after he heard that sentence, "don't call me Jason". Veronica nodded and walked to the couch, she sat down and flicked through tv until she saw a good show.

Jd and Veronica watched tv for a while and suddenly Veronica perked up "jd?" She said trying to get his attention "yes, Veronica?". She paused for a bit before asking her question, she was worried about what his response would be.

"Why do you hate your actual name?" She hesitantly asked him moving to get comfy again. "Well, my dad used to call me Jason when he was angry at me... so it's kinda stuck considering I hate him, so I prefer jd as it doesn't remind me of him" he explained.

"Okay" Veronica got up and walked into the kitchen, she made dinner for them both, she made some noodles and a sandwich for herself. Veronica called jd to the table as she hated eating on the sofa and they both ate their dinner.

Veronica finished first and washed her plate up, just as she had finished drying hers, jd finished his so she washed his up also. "Ronnieee" jd said, Veronica automatically knew he was going to ask something as she could here it in his voice. She turned to him and smiled "yes, we can go to the seven eleven" she chuckled as jd's face gleamed at the sentence.

They both got their jackets and walked outside. It was a fairly nice day so they walked instead of taking the bus. Veronica saw the fluffy white clouds and the sun just about to peak through the clouds, she looked at jd and wondered how he wasn't hot in his trench coat. 'I guess he's used to it, I mean he wears it so much' she thought to herself.

She was caught out of her trance as she saw the fluorescent light in the distance that had 7-eleven written on it. "I'm guessing your gonna get cigarettes in there?" She asked even though she knew the answer. Jd looked at her and sighed "yeah, want some?". She smiled proudly "nah! I quite ages ago!" She looked smug considering she knew he would never quite. He chuckled "I guess that makes one of us".

They both entered the 7-eleven and as soon as they walked in Veronica checked to make sure there was no sign of heather, she sighed in relief as there was another person on the checkout today. Jd instantly rushed off and Veronica smiled knowing exactly where he was rushing too.

'The slushie machine' she mumbled as she followed behind "cherry please!" She shouted as she picked up some red vines. Veronica looked over to the next isle and saw a familiar bag.

"Don't forget to buy corn nuts"

She shook her head in confusion but walked back to jd at the slushie machine, she smiled not wanting to tell him about her crazy experience just then. "We got everything?" Jd asked putting the lid on his slushie, Veronica nodded as they walked towards the counter.

The man behind the counter smiled at them both. "Red vines! I haven't seen anyone buy these in ages!" The checkout man said. Veronica gave a little chuckle at how cheerful the man was. The two walked out of the store and decided to go to their teen hang out spot.

"Wow! This place still exists?" She said climbing up the big tree. As she reached the top she sat down on the branch she used to sit on when she was seventeen. Jd sat opposite her "yeah, I saw it when we last walked to the 7- eleven" he lit a cigarette as Veronica snacked on her red vines.

It was getting late so Veronica decided it was time to go home, they climbed down and binned their rubbish and took the bus back to the apartment since they were both tired. It seemed longer than usual to get to the apartment but as soon as they got there the two rushed into the house a collapsed onto the sofa, but as jd landed Veronica landed on top of him.

She let out a little giggle of embarrassment as jd smiled at her, her cheeks were redder than a tomato as she slowly got of jd "um, sorry about that" she said feeling a wave of humiliation flow over her. "Trust me, Veronica. It is completely fine" jd laughed as Veronica punched his arm.

As he looked at her he stopped laughing and slowly moved closer to Veronica's face to the point where they were millimetres away from each other, their lips connected as jd held Veronica close.

Veronica wriggled from his grip "I-I should go to bed" she stammered. Jd smiles at her as he got into his 'bed' also. Veronica lied there thinking about what happened tonight.

'Maybe he has changed' a voice said in Veronica's head. She ignored it again and went to sleep.
