Rini's POV

The car in front of me wouldn't go any faster, so I honked. The car went a little faster and before I knew it, I was pulling into the school parking lot. I disconnected my phone from my car and connected my airpods. I turned my car off and did my homework that I forgot to do. Once I finished, I got out and grabbed my backpack. I really wanted the day to breeze by, so I can be with Teo again. With my luck the day will probably drag on. As I walk into the building, I bumped into Margarita and I was surprised to see her literally jump as she laid eyes on me.

Me: "Hey, what's up?"

Margarita: "Hi, sorry I am in a rush. Can we talk later?"

Me: "Yeah, I guess."

Margarita ran down the hall and into one of the classrooms. I continued to walk towards my locker and get my supplies for my first two classes, English and Physiology. I walked to my first class and sat down in my seat waiting for the lecture to start. The class started and it was the longest 54 minutes ever, but the bell finally rang and I gathered my stuff, made my way to second period. My Physiology class wasn't that far from my first period, so I took my time getting there. Once, I made it into the class I had to drop my homework in the "Finished" tray and then took my seat. We took notes on the lecture which made the class go by faster, then had 10 minutes left to start on our homework. I put in my airpods and listened to "Grinding On My Life" by Nipsey Hussle. As soon as I finished the vocabulary words, the bell rang and I walked out knowing that I would most likely be sitting by myself at nutrition. I walked to my locker and looked around feeling this feeling of being watched. I shook my head, knowing that I was just being paranoid and I opened my locker. I grabbed my AP Government notebook and my extra phone charger. While I was putting my notebook and charger into my bag, my locker was closed. I looked up at whoever the hell just closed my locker and saw Clarence.

Me: "Clarence."

Clarence: "Hey Serenity. What's up witchu?"

For as long as I could remember, Clarence had this huge crush on me, why? I don't know. I would estimate that he asked me out about six times just last year. I haven't seen him as much this year because I have senior classes; thanks to the man upstairs for working a miracle. I took my phone out of my pocket and changed the song to "Me and My Girlfriend" by Makaveli.

Clarence: "Hello, girl I am talking to you."

Me: "I know damn well you ain't talking to me like that. Step off."

Clarence: "I just wanna shoot my shot. Bruh, give me a chance. You are one of the real ones out here and I am tryna to take you out."

Me: "I am taken."

As soon as those words came out of my mouth, I smiled because I never said that and Teo invaded my thoughts.

Clarence: "Oh. Can I ask who?"

Me: "He is in college. He used to go here."

Clarence: "What's his name?"

Me: "Mateo Hernandez."

He gave me a very shocked face and started laughing. I didn't think that any of this was funny, in fact I was actually started to get heated.

Me: "What is so funny?"

Clarence: "He plays baseball, huh?"

I just nodded my head because if I opened my mouth, I would say something to hurt his feelings.
