Exactly 10 days after my test, I got an email saying that my test results were officially available online. I sat stiff on my bed that afternoon, my phone in my hands and my eyes glued to the screen.
103! That was amazing! I had done way above my TOEFL score target mark. I was finally going to get that admission letter i'd been praying for!
I quickly took a screenshot of my results and sent it to my Dad. At least I didn't let him down this time.
Minutes later I got a text from him telling me to send it immediately to the school I'd been applying to. So I got down to work on my email. A smile of confidence plastered across my face. An air of confidence that was to be confirmed days later when I received an email from the University I had applied to, inviting me to study there.
To say that I was happy would be an understatement. I was beside myself with joy! My dream would finally come true.
