Ruby and Weiss had been together for 3 years and they couldn't be happier, well except for the fact they were called out for missions every time they tried to relax, but the long trips made great bonding time. Ruby knew that she didn't love anyone more that the woman she got to wake up next to everyday, but there times together were growing limited by the amount of grimm that were being released, and for the first time in years just started feeling more terrified of losing the one she loves.

Weiss on the other hand just wanted to enjoy the time they had together, they went on dates, walks, missions, even teaching together so Weiss couldn't be happier, the only thing she was scared of was that her dad wanted her back to Atlas again even though she had resisted him time after time, he wasn't going to give up.

That morning Weiss had woken up and as soon as she sat up, her face broke into an adoring smile, Ruby was laid on her side and was sleeping peacefully, a soft look had taken over her face. At seeing her girlfriend like this Weiss knew straight away that it would be a good day. She climbed out of bed and walked to their bathroom, reaching down on the way to pet their dog Zwei, and looked in the mirror, and as usual her hair was messier than when she fell asleep, Weiss groaned and reached for her hairbrush at the edge of the sink eyes half closed with sleep, and felt nothing but empty space, sighing to herself again, Weiss went back into their room and into the desk at the side of their bed and pulled out her red hairbrush. Weiss hummed happily to herself as she walked around her room brushing her hair gently.

"oh my god" Weiss looked up and saw Ruby sitting up, she smiled and waved at her girlfriend glad to see her awake. Using her semblance, Ruby was next to Weiss and hugging her
"I love you so much, you're so pretty" Weiss smiled again and placed a soft kiss on the other girls lips, Ruby placed a hand on her cheek drawing her near smiling. After a while of enjoying being close to Ruby, Weiss cut off the kiss with a grin. Walking to her drawers she pulled out her usual white costume and pulled her hair up.

"Hey Dolt, wanna go to a cafe?" Weiss asked tiredly sliding her feet into her heels, Ruby, who was already dressed, smiled brightly and nodded
"I would love too" Weiss smiling, picked up her bag and slung it over her shoulder.
"hurry up, i might tell them you like black coffee" Weiss laughed as she teased Ruby, Ruby's face scrunched up in disgust and stuck her tongue out and she grabbed onto Weiss's hand and they both walked out the door smiling.

Weiss loved her girlfriend more than anything in the world and she loved every single thing about her, but the one thing that would be her favourite forever is her smile, it's hard to even call it a smile it's more like a piece of heaven that has been blessed to be a part of this world, when Weiss smiled it was like time would stop all together or the world just paused to appreciate the beauty in front of them, Ruby wouldn't even be surprised if Weiss said she was an angel sent from heaven, she was that incredible. But seeing her love smiling for a constant time gave her the same butterflies as when she first discovered her love for Weiss, and it filled her with joy.

Stopping at the cafe they both ordered their drinks and talked, reliving moments in their life that they love, talking about Beacon was a short topic because missing pyrrha made them very sad and killed the conversation quickly, so they tended to stray away from talking about it, but never the less, talking eased their minds and reminded both of them that with each other, nothing could truly hurt them. Weiss clung to her coffee the whole time, drinking it slowly so she could still talk to Ruby
"Weiss, you should really cut down the coffee, it's bad for you" Ruby said concerned, Weiss flicked her head up to gaze heavily at her and still keeping the eye contact, she took a long sip of coffee and when she had placed it back down her look grew more intense
"No" she said nonchalantly, and straight away Ruby burst out laughing and placed her head on the table to muffle her loud giggles and Weiss felt her face flush in embarrassment and started protesting and Ruby sat up and wiped a tear from her eye as she let out a small chuckle
"Sorry you're just so cute" Ruby smiled brightly at her and Weiss blushed more and covered her face with her hands with further embarrassment as Ruby patted her on the head
"You dolt!" Weiss yelled as they both stood up taking each others hand and walked down the street.

They walked down several streets, talking effortlessly about nothing in particular, but eventually they walked pass a garden display and Weiss smiled dragging Ruby over too it
"let's go here it's really pretty" she said as Ruby nodded, walking with a little skip in her step. They stopped next to a waterfall at the end of the display and sat down on the edge of it, still holding hands. Weiss took a deep breath and turned so she was facing Ruby
"I'm really glad we decided to go out today, it meant a lot to me" Weiss started looking down away from Ruby, but Ruby just smiled and lifted Weiss's chin up to face her
"Me too Weiss" she smiled, reminding Weiss of how much she loved her, but she shook her head at looked at her with weariness
"no listen" she started and Ruby frowned a little
"I love you Ruby Rose, and today really reminded me of how much, we've both been put under pressure for our whole lives, even before beacon, if you told me the day we met that we'd be romantically involved like this, i never would have believed you, but now it's the only thing i can think of. You were my salvation and that day you told me that you'd never leave my side, i felt true happiness and when I'm with you, that piece of me that's been missing my whole life just fills up and i never think I've ever been alone, you mean the world to me Ruby and this is why i have to do this" Weiss said her face growing slowly and slowly more nervous, Ruby jumped a little in her seat a look of horror went through her face
"A-Are you breaking up with me" she said stuttering and her eyes filled with tears and Weiss groaned
"No, of course not you dolt!" She snapped and Ruby calmed down
"Instead something much scarier" She whispered and stood up from the fountain side, her hand still in Rubys, and she knelt on the ground with one knee pulling out a box, and Ruby's free hand flew to her face in shock
"I love you Ruby and i want to spend the rest of my life with you, so, Ruby Rose, will you do the honour the being my wife" Weiss said more nervous than ever nearly choking over her words, Ruby's eyes filled with tears but this time with happiness and a smile broke over her face and she flung herself at Weiss, wrapping her arms around her neck
"yes, yes, yes, a million times yes" she cried and Weiss sighed in relief and hugged her back with huge force and they broke apart and Weiss slid the ring onto Ruby's finger and she kissed her gently on the lips both of them gleefully happy.
