~Eliza pov~
I ran to my dorm to put away my things. It was the end of the school day.
Well it took long enough.
I'm not normally one to complain about school but, Alexander Hamilton had published the new instalment to his book series. I needed to go buy a copy.
Alexander Hamilton is known for writing novels about heroes of the american revolution. It sounds silly to be interested in things like this but the way he writes is so eloquent. The way he writes makes every thing much more interesting than it actually is. The way he writes is unique.
The novel had come out a while ago and I still hadn't got it.
I ran into Barnes and Noble and walked up to the one of the employees.
"Are you here for Hamilton's new novel?" He asked.
I nodded. The guy jestered me to follow. We made our way to an almost naked bookshelf with some copies of the novel on it. I smiled when he handed it to me. The last novel had been on Leslie Odom Jr. so it only made sense that the new novel would be on Lin-Manuel Miranda. I went to the cashier, payed and walked out of the store.
I walked back to my dorm and layed on my bed. I had the dorm to myself. I didn't have a roommate.
I looked at a picture of my family on my nightstand. We looked happy. We definitely aren't anymore. My parents fight. A lot. I really wish I knew why. Me and my sisters, Angelica and Peggy, are worried they might get a divorce but mom and dad keep reassuring us otherwise.
I opened the novel and began to read.
I finshed the novel that day. Good thing it's a Friday cause I slept hard after I finished.
After a long sleep I opened my favorite app, Pattwad. (A/N see what I did there.)
I love this app a lot. I mostly read fanfics about Hamilton's novels. I didn't really publish any stories since I didn't think I'm a good writer but I did write some.
They're kinda just for me to read and enjoy. I don't share them with anyone except myself.
I mean like, reading and writing stuff about shipping real people who are dead is kinda wierd but you know whatever.
I was depressed after finishing reading about Lin's life so I decided to write a story where he gets a happy ending. After writing a couple chapters I got a phone call from my younger sister.
"ELIZA!" Peggy yelled.
"What?" I asked.
"Mom and dad got invited to a fancy party thing."
"And..."
"I called you cause you need to come."
"Fine. Do you know who is going to be there?"
"Some business people. You could probably get away with bringing your book and what not."
"I finished the book."
"Well that sucks. Guess you'll have to socially interact."
I laughed. "Bye Peggy see you later."
"Bye."
I hung up and went to my closet. I pulled out the fanciest looking dress I could find. It was light blue and fell to my ankles.
"Perfect." I said and went to go change.

I drove to mom and dad's house. I hadn't seen them since I started college. Not that I was busy I just didn't want to be a part of the family drama.
I pulled in the driveway and used my key to open the door and get inside.
"Mom, dad." I called
"Oh Eliza you're here, finally. Every body let's go." My mom yelled the last part.
My sisters came downstairs.
We got in the car and drove to the event.

The party is boring. It's more like a business meeting with separate tables and live music.
Not interesting music just classical. Not that I mind though I love classics.
"Liza I'm bored." Peggy said sliding into the seat next to mine.
"You should have brought something to do." I told her.
"I did. My phone. But it died. Can I use yours?"
"No."
"Why not."
"Last time you broke it."
"I said I was sorry like a million times."
"Yeah and I accepted your apology. But I don't want to have to get another phone."
"Fine." Peggy huffed and took my phone. She ran of into the crowd of people.
"Peggy." I yelled but, she couldn't hear me.
I followed her into the crowd and pushed past the people. I had left Pattwad open. Peggy was going to find all my fanfictions and what not. I can't even imagine what would happen if anyone found those.
I found Peggy reading through my phone. Maybe she is looking through my text messages, I thought.
"What are these?" Peggy asked handing me my phone pointing at all my writing.
"Well umm...." I was to flustered to even answer. Peggy had found my writing.
"You are a really good writer, Betesy." Peggy said scrolling through my phone. "Why don't you publish them in this website?"
"Cause it's embarrassing to write stuff like this. People will judge me."
"Use a fake name."
"I doesn't matter. No one would read it. Plus what if Alexander Hamilton sees it and judges me for writing fanfics about his novels."
"The odds Alexander Hamilton would find this is pretty low and people do stuff like this all the time no one would be judgy."
"But Peggy it's just embarrassing. I don't like the way I write."
"Fine I'll do it for you." Peggy said and dashed off.
There is no way I was letting my crappy fanfic get published. I had to find Peggy.
