Beyoncé looked out of the window onto the beach, watching the darker girl in the distance sit on the shore. She sighed, knowing what she was doing. She had done it every morning for years, although it only felt like a few weeks, or months at least. Crying; missing her previous life, missing the one she was supposed to be with, and at the same time crying from guilt. Guilt from staying with her captor and sleeping with the one who kept her from everything she previously loved; guilt for staying here with her without putting up a fight.

Beyoncé saw that the sun was just rising, meaning that Normani hadn't been outside long. By now, she knew the younger girl's routine. After each night, as soon as the sun started rising, Normani would sneak out of their shared bed, and go out to the beach. Beyoncé watched the younger girl for a while, knowing not to disturb her, having done that once and making Normani's guilt session even worse. Beyoncé guessed looking at the root of her problems made her even weaker. The beautiful goddess moved to her kitchen, making her hostage a light breakfast. She hummed softly as she made it, the tune she'd picked up on from listening to Normani.

"Hey, Mani?" The older woman called out softly, not wanting to scare the quiet girl. The sulking girl didn't move, only humming to acknowledge the goddess's presence. "I made you breakfast." The younger girl turned around slightly, looking at the tan woman before reaching out to take the tray. The light woman chuckled slightly, handing her partially-willing hostage the tray. "Can I join you?" The silence that followed after the woman spoke answered Beyoncé's question, making her sigh and frown, before she pulled her face together and nodded. "Never mind. I'll um, I'll be inside."

The younger girl hummed again, before looking forward towards the sea once more. Beyoncé bit her lip, turning around in defeat towards her home. She hated that she didn't make Normani happy no matter how hard she tried, because that was the only thing that mattered to her. She hated that no matter how hard she wanted to, she couldn't make Normani love her. She'd tried everything, even asking the goddess of love herself to help her to win Normani's heart. The only successful part all of those attempts was that it was a waste of her time. But, most of all; she'd hated that she'd kept Normani hostage here all this time.

When Beyoncé found Normani, washed up on the beach unconscious, she didn't expect her to keep her on the island. She wanted to save her life, and that was it. Then, once Normani finally came to and Beyoncé got to talk to speak with the beautiful young girl in front of her, she'd known that she needed her to stay a little while longer. Beyoncé realized, for once in the time she'd been on the island, she didn't feel lonely. Of course there were others that had come to the island before, but she never felt like there was another person occupying the large island with her. She blamed the curse for breaking her heart over and over, which only made her wish for someone special grow. And with, Normani, it felt like that special person had arrived. From the first few moments that the two shared together when one was not unconscious, Beyoncé knew that she loved Normani. Which was why she decided to keep the mocha girl on the island with her "to make sure she was okay", or at least that was what the younger girl was told. That was true to some extent, since it didn't really take 7 years to make sure the girl was healthy.

A few hours had passed before Beyoncé saw Normani again, when she came inside the large house to get a drink. "You're in for the day?" the beautiful goddess asked as she saw the chocolate girl enter the kitchen.

"Not yet." The young girl mumbled, making Beyonce lift her eyebrow. Normally, when Normani came inside she stayed inside, and only came in when she was ready to leave the beachside.

"Do you need anything?" Beyonce asked, glancing at the girl before returning her attention towards the vegetables she was cutting up.

"I'm okay. Thanks Bey." the chocolate girl said before walking towards the door leading outside. "Would you um- would you want to join me?" the girl asked, looking towards the lighter woman with nervous eyes. Normani didn't know what made her want to ask the goddess to join her, the words just came out before she could stop them.
