The Wall

You built the wall so thick

Year after year. Brick after brick.

Every possible love bought paranoia and fear

Never was a relationship clear

When he came along

You held on strong

To the wall you built so tall

You gripped on tight, with a promise to never fall

Slowly he chipped at that stone

Trying hard to be your home

One day, you learned how to stop

Your arms grew limp. It was like you forgot.

And all of a sudden the wall fell to the ground

All because you let your guard down

In he bounded with a smile upon his face

He lifted you up, and spun you with grace

He helped build the wall brick by brick

Behind the both of you was his little trick

It was early october that you wore white

The rings promised love with all their might

Little Johnny arrived late in may

Weighing a whopping 7,8

Little did you know he was Mr Right

The one you needed all your life

Now you can be happy, leave your wall thin

You never know who might need to get in

Finally... I have written a poem with no darkness in it. It was very hard.

What's my reward?
