"Yesterday, my life was in ruin. Now today, I know what I'm doing. I've got a feeling da..da...daa" I wrote down the new lyrics while sitting at the kitchen table eating a ham and cheese sandwich. As I finished writing, I hear my older brother, Freddie come down the stairs with his two bandmates, Roger and Brian.

"Y/N dear, we have a few chaps coming over for bass auditions, we're going to practice for a few minutes before they get here, please alert us when they do." Freddie said to me while entering. "You got it Fred." I said while half-smiling. I get up to go throw away the remains of my sandwich when the blonde one of Freddie's friends come up to me.

"What're you doing later tonight?" He says with a smug expression on his face. "Shove off Taylor!" I say, annoyed. Thankfully, Freddie saves me from dealing with his prissy arse, "Roger, Darling! Hurry along!" Roger walks back upstairs with a groan and a defeated look on his face, I smirk.

I head to my piano to try to come up with more lyrics for the song I'm working on. I play around with the keys to see if something pops into my head but...nothing. I get up and head to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

As I walk into the kitchen I see three boys sitting at the island, two are talking and one is nervously playing with his fingers. I walk out of the room to go tell Fred that his new possible bandmates are here. Before I can fully walk out, the nervous one with light brown hair speaks "Excuse me miss, where is your loo?"

"Down the hall, second door on your left." I say with a smile. He smiles, then nods in appreciation. I walk up the stairs and head to Freddie's bedroom. "Hey Fred, you've got some company here." I say while swinging open the door. "Perfect darling! Tell them we'll be down in 5 minutes." I nod and walk back down the stairs.

"The band is going to be down in 5 minutes, make yourself at home, do you guys need anything?" I ask. The two remaining boys say their fine and the boy with the light brown hair walks back in, "I should be doing alright." He states with a grin. "That's it! Thank you so much!" I say walking back to the piano leaving the three boys confused.

"Yesterday, my life was in ruin. Now today, I know what I'm doing. I've got a feeling I should be doing alright." I play the piano while singing. "Y/N! We need you for the auditions!" My brother calls out. I sigh and walk to the living room.

When I walk in, I see Freddie talking with the three boys who were at the island, Roger filing his nails, and Brian struggling to move our box Television. I walk towards Brian to help him, he mouths a thank you.

After Brian and I clear the area, Freddie announces that auditions are starting and the band and I sit down on the couch. "Do we have a Oliver Wilson here?" Brian states while reading off a paper. "Here." A tall boy with shaggy, black hair boringly says while grabbing his bass. Before we can say anything, the boy starts strumming the instrument with random movements while having a expression that made him look constipated. It took every bit of me not to burst out laughing.

"Thank you, Mr. Wilson we will get back to you, please wait in the kitchen." Brian cuts of the guy. Oliver winks at me then walks out of the room. This makes Roger teasingly pull me onto his lap, I gasp and lightly smack Roger's cheek.

"Okay then...next, do we have an Andrew Smith?" Brian reads. "T-T-That W-Would be me." A short blonde boy with a freckled face states. "You can go ahead, dear." Freddie kindly says. The boy starts out okay but then, he gets really nervous and he messes up on the rest of the piece he played.

"Thank you Andrew, please wait in the kitchen." Freddie says. He nods and nervously walks to the room.

"Okay, lastly...John Deacon right?" Brian asks to the remaining boy. "That's me." He says while standing up and taking his bass off the stand. He takes a deep breath and starts playing the bass while bobbing his head along with the beat. When he's done, I'm amazed at how well he played, he did seem quite nervous at the first impression.

"Thank you, John please wait in the kitchen." Brian says. John nods and walks off. "So who's your new bandmate?" I ask. "John for sure." Freddie states. "Yeah, he seemed like a nice fellow and he could play the bass really well too." Brian adds. "But what about Oliver? He had a bit of an attitude but he was pretty good." Roger says. Me and the two boys roll our eyes at Roger. "I'll tell John he made it, you guys can wait here." I say while walking into the kitchen.

"Thank you all for auditioning but, the new bass player for Queen is John Deacon." I politely say with a smile. Oliver and Andrew sadly walk to the exit of the house. "The boys are in the living room you can go talk to them for details." I tell John. "Thank you." he replies and walks off.

I go to the piano and start working on the song. 3 hours later the song is finished. I walk to Freddie's room and open the door. "Have the boys already left?" I ask Fred. "Oh, yes dear, they left about an hour ago, why?" He replies. "I finished the new song do you want to hear it?" I ask. "Yes, Y/N I'll check it out later, the boys are coming over tomorrow morning so you can show us then." He says.

"Okay Freddie, I love you I'll see you tomorrow, goodnight" I say. "Goodnight Dear, I hope you sleep well." He responds with as I walk into my room.
