I ran back to the taxi for the third time tonight and went through the process of changing dresses again. The driver already knew where to go. He sighed as I finally finished changing once we reached Emma's wedding. I hopped out of the car and ran inside. Everyone was dancing, so I decided to tag along and starting jumping up and down to the beat.
A few minutes later, I was heading back to the taxi and changing into my dress for Anna's wedding. Once there, I danced with Natalie and a few of my other friends. Once again, I found myself heading off to Emma's wedding, hoping no one noticed my absence.
Finally, after staying at Emma's for a while, the wedding was over and we said our goodbyes.
I headed back to the taxi for one final trip to Anna's wedding.
I see everyone gathered around and notice that Anna is making a speech.
"I'd like to thank a very special someone who helped make this wedding the best it could possibly be. Thank you so much, Maya. You truly made this an unforgettable night." Anna smiled at me and I smiled back.
She threw her small bouquet of flowers backwards as everyone tried to reach for it. I was so sure that I would be the one to catch it. Little did I know, I was wrong.
The girl next to me pushed me so she could catch the bouquet and I fell to the floor. Before I knew it, everything blacked out.

I slowly felt my eyes opening and I was met with a beautiful pair of sparkling green eyes. Standing in front of me was a guy about my age, maybe a year older. He's got curly, brown hair, dimples and the face of an angel. Wow, he's so handsome.
"Are you okay there?" He asked, with a worried look.
He has a deep accent. He must be British. Or is he Australian? Is he from the other side of the world? If so, what is he even doing here in America?
I looked at him, confused as to why he was ordering people around to bring him things. Is he trying to help me? Who is this stranger?
He helps me up as I hold onto my head. Shit, I must have hit the floor pretty hard considering I've got this big headache.
"Are you a doctor?" I asked him.
"Nah, I just happened to see a pretty lady like you on the floor, lying unconscious. Since no one was bothering to help, I thought why not just save the day? Do you remember your name?" He asked.
"Maya. My name is Maya." I replied.
"Well, Maya. I'm Harry. But I'm sure now that I helped you, you'll never forget my name." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes. He's one of those guys. Cheeky, flirty, and always manages to get the girl.
"Thanks for helping me." I thanked him as I got up, still feeling dizzy.
"Sure thing, love. Are you sure you're okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm okay." I said, but honestly I couldn't even stand before I almost found myself fainting again. I thought I was going to hit the floor, when I felt a strong pair of arms wrapping around my waist, pulling me up.
"Okay, you're definitely not fine. Let's get you a cab." He held me close as he looked outside for a taxi, finally spotting one. As we sat inside, Harry looked at me and started to speak.
"Hey, you were at two weddings in one night, weren't you? I saw you changing into another dress. That's kind of silly, don't you think?" He asked.
"Well, I couldn't just not attend one of the weddings. They're both really good friends of mine. I couldn't do anything about it." I shrugged.
"That's not the silly part. I just find it odd that you went to two in one night. Isn't one bad enough?" He laughed.
"I love weddings! Ever since I was a little girl, I always have." I replied.
He scoffed. "Oh, please. What's so special about weddings? It's just a long night of bad food, terrible music, and being stuck talking to half of the people you don't even know."
I looked at him in shock. How dare he say that? "Oh really? And what is it that you do?" I asked.
"I'm a writer. I spend my time writing stories, novels, reports, anything." He said.
A writer? Sure he is. A guy like him couldn't possibly be a writer. Right?
We said nothing for the rest of the way as I see we've reached my apartment. "This is my place. Thanks for the ride. This is for the whole night." I told the taxi driver as I handed him the extra money.
I get out of the cab and notice Harry gets out too. Ugh, what does he want now?
"Don't you think this whole going to two weddings in a night thing is just a complete waste of time?" He asked.
"Oh great, a man who doesn't believe in marriage. Just what this world needs." I sigh as I shook his hand and grabbed the big flower bouquet from him. "It was nice meeting you." I said as I walked away.
"So, are you going to be at more weddings next week?" I heard Harry calling after me.
"Goodnight, Harry." I said as I turned to look at him one last time before heading up to my apartment.
I walk inside and set the bouquet down.
What a long night.
