Well, well, well. Looks like they came prepared, Ebony thought. Gotta think fast.
"Well that's no fair," she said aloud. Before any of them could reply, Ebony's right foot connected with the girl's chin, forcing her to her knees. She ran away before they could react, giving her a 10 yard headstart immediately. She heard thunder threatening in the distance, and noticed the two hooded people catching up to her with an almost inhuman speed. Making a hard left towards the woods, she fell onto her knee, tearing the skin.
As she got up to head into the woods, the girl skipped up behind her.
"Bang! Bang! Tehehehe," she giggled happily, firing a shot from her pistol with each "Bang!" One of the bullets grazed past Ebony's ear. That would heal within seconds, but the knee, if she continued running, would only get worse. She stumbled into the woods, her backpack slapping against her back.
After what seemed like hours of running, she reached a house. I lost them for now, she thought wearily. But I should still go into this creepy and ominous house anyways, just in case.
She twisted the doorknob, and  it opened smoothly. Too smoothly. She walked in, expecting an angry old man or a crooked old hag. A few swipes with her claws would assure that there would be no one to stop her, anyhow. She's gotten away with murder before, so what's one more?
     But the house was empty.
Flick. Sss... The sound of a lighter being lit.
"Smoking is bad for you," the voice of Doctor Kindle rang in Ebony's ears. "There are many places you could go to help you quit. You could die, you know." Ebony's response had been, "No shit, Sherlock. What do you think the point is?"
Suddenly, Ebony's wolf ears rose to points. She put out the cigarette with her thumb and index finger, twisting the tip back and forth. Her claws retracted instinctively, and she hardly noticed the new second degree burns on her fingers. Something was coming-but what?
Out of nowhere, three guys (and one girl) appeared. They all wore black with different patterns, and had mainly black hair.
"Did we scare you? " asked one, whom had an ocean-green fade in his black hair. His ruby red eyes glowed sinisterly.
"We kinda have to kill you and stuff," said another with a light blue fade. His eyes almost seemed comforting, in a sad sort of way.
The girl, though seemingly reluctant to speak, mumbled, "It's nothing p-personal really. Just blood lust... or... something." Ebony then noticed their extremely pale skin, inhumanly sharp canines, and leather bat-like wings.
"What the hell, Jay!" yelled ocean-green fade angrily as a guy (who ) drop-kicked him for seemingly no apparent reason
Ocean-green was still yelling a string of profanities when "Jay" punched the guy with the dark blue fade; the one who didn't say anything. He stumbled backwards a bit, but didn't fall.
The other two seemed not to notice as they advanced towards Ebony. She flexed her claws. Why am I hesitating? Jay kicked the boy with the light blue fade into the floor. He stopped in front of the girl and rested a hand on her shoulder. She opened her mouth as if to say something, but stopped short as Jay slapped her across the side of her face.
"S-sorry," she muttered under her breath, hiding her face with the bangs of her hair.
All the ones who got basically abused, their eyes had faded to a much paler red.
"You're welcome," Jay says flatly to Ebony, looking towards the others in the room with complete disappointment. He turns to look at her, and stares at her for a few seconds, his face getting increasingly redder by the moment.
"What?" Ebony asks him, furrowing her brow.
"Nothing!" he says, alarmed. "I just kinda... Noticed you... I'm Jay, by the way, as you've probably heard one of these idiots yell." He smiles nervously. Ebony continues you to frown at him with annoyance.
"Anyways," he says, pointing to the girl. "That's my sister, Jamie." She had a fading bruise on her face, and averted her eyes to the side. He pointed to the boy with the light blue fade. "And that's my brother, Jaden. uwu!"
Did he say fuckin' 'uwu' out loud?!
"Sup," says Jaden calmly. "Sorry about trying to kill you or whatever."
Jay then points to the one with dark blue in his hair, and says, "The mean looking one is my brother Jackson." Teasingly, he adds, "He really is a sweetheart, though." Jackson flips him off as he proceeds to walk out of the room.
"And that's..." Jay trails off as he nods in the general direction of Ocean-green. "James."
     Hearing his name, James winked.
"Hey you know, you're really cute," James says seductively. "Wanna go back to my room and fu-"
     "Beep-beep, James," Jamie interrupted loudly.
"I will literally drop-kick you again," Jay said with no hint of humor in his voice.
Ebony tried not to say anything rude. She really did. Everyone always told her that anger would get her nowhere. But since when did she listen to anyone's advice? Don't say it, don't say it, don't sa-
"Why don't you go fuck yourself you bitch."
     She said it.
"Oh shit," Jay said, before realizing his mistake and excusing his "French".
"Well, I know not to get on her bad side," mumbled Jaden, who hated being yelled at.
Ebony smirked, but not very comfortingly. It was sinister, mean, hateful, and would have sent a chill down any normal person's spine. These were obviously not normal people, but it was concerning nonetheless.
"I don't have a good side," she said mysteriously. Besides, I won't be here long enough for you to get on any side. Jay took off his glasses and began chewing on the frame absently.
"Who were you running from?" he  asked.
"I never told you I was running from anyone," Ebony said alarmed.
James then spoke: "Listen, doll. No one ever goes into a creepy house in the middle of the woods unless they are being chased by something. It's common sense. And considering the fact that you're a wolf hybrid, it's probably hunters."
"It took all of his two brain cells to say that much at a time without making a dirty joke somewhere," Jay mumbled to himself.
Ebony didn't care if the entirety of the U.S. government was after her, or Homeland Security. She was leaving.
"Peace," she said, walking towards the exit.
"Wait!" yelled Jay quickly before Ebony opened the door. She turned around slowly, her feet still in a position to run away.
He took a shuddery (and completely overdramatic) breath.
     "Couldn't you stay?"
