northwestern

Cady Heron spent her senior year basking in the newfound glory of community at North Shore. with Regina being much nicer, Cady was able to get by without any major incidents.

she was a little lonely though. Janis and Damien had graduated and gone off to college, Janis going to art school in new york and Damien went to dance school, something about a budding career in tap dancing.

also Aaron. he had graduated and left for Northwestern University. Cady went and visited him every few weekends since he was only half an hour away. they were still going strong. Aaron had spent the entire summer before college assuring his girlfriend that they'd stay together.

Cady was excited, it was almost the end of the year which meant college decision letters were coming in but there was only one she cared about, Northwestern.

Aaron was home for the weekend and was currently at Cady's house. they were sitting in Cady's room, awaiting the mail. Cady was pacing,

"babe, you're gonna put a hole in the floor." Aaron said from his place on the bed, looking up from his phone

"Aaron, i can't help it. NU is the only school i truly care about going to, not only does it have the best boyfriend ever but if i get that math scholarship i'm set to go!"

Cady sat on the floor at the edge of the bed, Aaron getting up to sit next to her.

"hey, if you don't get in it'll be fine. we'll still be together, we'll find a way. you can always transfer in." Aaron put his hand on her knee, Cady turning his hand face up to interlock their fingers

the moment was paused by a knock on the door before Mrs Heron entered, "Cady, the mail came." she left an envelope on the nightstand before leaving the room

Cady and Aaron looked at each other before getting up. she walked over to the night stand, Aaron standing behind her with his hands on her shoulders.

"remember, whatever happens, i'm gonna be here for you."

Cady took a deep breath before turning over the sealed envelope to open it. she unfolded it and read carefully.

We here at Northwestern University would like to welcome you to the class of 2023!

Cady turned around quickly, "i got in!"

Aaron's face lit up with a smile, "what?! oh my god Cady!"

Aaron engulfed his girlfriend in his arms, spinning her around, "Aaron i did it! i'm going to Northwestern!"

the boy set her down and placed her face between his hands, "i never doubted you, you're the smartest person i know." Aaron leaned in to kiss his girl, he was the proudest of her he's ever been.

the rest of the school year flew by quickly now that Cady knew her fate. she was so excited! not only had she gotten into her top school but she was going to be able to see Aaron every day again.

graduation had arrived before she knew it. she was standing in front of her mirror in her bedroom when her mom stepped in, "my sweet girl is all grown up."

Cady smiled, "do i look okay?"

"you look beautiful!" Mrs Heron came up behind her, "i can't believe you're going to college in two months."

"mom lets just get through today first."

Cady turned back to the mirror, adjusting her dress when she noticed somebody else standing in the doorway of her room, she smiled. Mrs Heron noticed as well, "i'll meet you at the car."
