sometimes in life,
you will meet someone
who you instantly click with.
this person,
you will soon come to realise,
is a person that you have met for a reason —
your connection was meant to be.
whether dictated by fate
or pure coincidence,
who knows,
but it was meant to happen.
you will find a person,
every once in a while,
who you will connect with on a much deeper level than just the surface level —
maybe they're on the same wavelength as you,
share the same interests,
share the same morals and ethics,
or maybe you both are on the same intellectual level and are able to converse about deeper topics
than just the usual small talk.
but sometimes,
life will throw you a situation
or multiple
which then separates you from this person — whether these be big or small,
it still dictates what happens
between you and your person.
sometimes your person will leave,
leaving you feeling empty
because as they left
they took a part of you with them.
and it takes a long time,
whether we like it or not,
to mend what has been torn
or to move on
because there is always a small ounce of false hope that remains within,
tricking you into believing
that everything will come right
and with time,
they will return...
