Monday morning Bobby picks me up for school. Unfortunately I have to go to a different school than my friends. Sandy is waiting in front of my school for us. After a couple of minutes talking, they walk on towards their school that is a couple of blocks down the road.
I enjoy school. I've known all the students in my class for years because we are only a few kids and all use the same classroom and teacher. We mostly work on our own with the teacher there to help.
After school my friends pick me up and we grab a smoothie at a nearby café.
All of a sudden I feel a familiar energy pattern trail over my skin. I turn towards the source. Bobby and Sandy look to and I hear Bobby growl and Sandy swear under her breath. Our rivals stand on the other side of the road. They cross over and sparks, literally, start flying between our two groups. People start noticing and form a large circle, not caring that they block the road.
It's Devon with his four buddies. I can't believe they still try to challenge us, seeing as we gave them an ass whopping a couple of months ago.
They also know that we won't create a scene in public and strut with arrogance towards us.
I hear bikes cruising down the street. The stop close to the crowd and another familiar energy mixes with the rest. Brian pushes his way through the crowd with his gang following close behind.
"Hi Sam, Bobby, Sandy," he greats us, totally ignoring Devon.
"Wanna go for a ride with us?"
Devon doesn't like being ignored and starts to amp up his power display. I'm sure there are magic sensitive people in the crowd. I wonder what they think. Both Devon and Brian's groups ooze magic, while Bobby, Sandy and I are barely noticeable.
Brian motions his group behind Devon and effectively cut of their retreat. Of course Devon didn't see it coming.
Devon becomes insecure and starts to insult us.
"Oh Sam. Scared we'll beat you next time? Is that why you got yourself a boyfriend?" He sneers.
"What's she doing for you?" He asked Brian.
Ok guys.... That's were I got stuck. Any comments or ideas on how to continue and where to go with this are highly appreciated.
