                 Diana x Leona

I growled menacingly as my scythe blade sliced through yet another cluster of Noxian minions. They were very annoying for they appeared anywhere and everywhere.I had been battling a group of rouge summoners with Syndra and Irelia. We were pushing them back and like the cowards they were, ran away and summonded a  huge wave of minions to distract us whilst they made their escape. I told Syndra and Irelia to give chase while I dealt with the pesky minions. I whirled around to cut down somemore when my eyes focused on something else. Leona,my sworn enemy, was fighting 3 summoners at once. They battered her from every direction, slowly but surely driving her back. I growled lowly in my throat when a ice shard from one of the summoners smashed into her legs, knocking her onto her back.

Quickly summoning Lunar Rush,I arrived just in time to deflect the next ice shard to the side. I jumped up and used Moonfall to draw my enemies closer to me before slashing them with my blade. As they fell,I ran off before Leona could stand. After that incident,I kept my distance but looked out for Leona. I got a deep burn on my arm because of my negligence towards my own safety. Scrowling,I ignored the pain and cut down another wave of minions. The Sun is setting, I thought with a grim smile as the sounds of retreat were relayed up and down our ranks. All the hair on my neck suddenly stood up and I whirled around. Amongst the retreating soilders,I could see Leona brown orbs staring straight at me. Forcing back a blush,I merely summoned Lunar Rush again and high-tailed out of the area.

Night finally fell as I quietly exited my room  I managed to sneak out of the League and into the fields while everyone was asleep. I had taken off my armour and only wore a thin cotton shirt with boy shorts,my sleeping clothes. As I entered the field, the clouds parted and I happily skipped to where the moon cast its soft glow on the grass. This was the only time where I could revert back to my old self. Before I was consumed by the hate of rejection and heresy. Before we became sworn enemies. I sank into the soft grass and absentmindedly began weaving a small flower crown out of the daisies that sprouted in abundance here. Just as I was finishing one, I felt a soft nudge on my legs. Glancing up, I almost squealed with delight. A small pure white bunny had nestled itself against my outstretched legs.

I patted my lap and as if it understood me,the bunny jumped up. I placed my tiny flower wreath on it head and scratched its ears. It just snuggled deeper into my legs. I allowed a tiny smile to cross my features. "Are you hungry?" I asked as the bunny shifted to sniff at the daisies on its head. Plucking some of the thicker blades of grass,I placed them on my palm and the bunny came to eat them. I cooed and scratched the bunny on its head somemore. As the bunny was hopping around trying to get more food,it accidentally brushed against the burn. I hissed in pain and dropped the grass. My bunny seemed to have knew it did something wrong because its ears suddenly drooped all the way down. "It's not your fault, little one... " I softly whispered, wiping alway the tears that had gathered at the corner of my eyes.

The bunny cocked its head to the side,as if asking me to elaborate. I just smiled and glance up at the moon. "I got it while protecting someone." The bunny just continued staring at me. "She is kind, sweet, gentle, protective and despite how much I know she hates me,I don't want to ever see her get hurt." The bunny hopped up my leg and poked its nose against the Solari mark I had burned into my right palm to remind me of her. It was always blocked by my armour but now anyone could see it. Giggling, I picked it up and planted a soft kiss on its head. "You are a pretty smart animal are'nt you!"  So caught up I was in my thoughts that I failed to hear the approaching footsteps of someone else. It was only when my bunny glanced up at me did I notice the amount of light reflected in its eyes. "Strange..." I mused, glancing up at the moon once more. "It's almost as if you are looking at the Sun..."My face immediately paled as I thought about my words. "Looking at...the Sun?!??!"

With a sharp gasp, I stood up and whirled around,my bunny hopping away in fright. Behind me stood the Radiant Dawn looking well, radiant. My cheeks instanly flushed a deep red colour and I subconciously clenched my right hand into a fist. How much did she hear? Why is she even here? Crap this is the worst! Thoughts like these ran through my mind, beating up my brain into a frenzy. I barely registered her coming closer till I could smell the sunflowers on her skin. Jumping back,I flicked out the crecent shaped dagger I always kept with me. "What do you want,Radiant Dawn?" I growled, putting as much hate as I could into my voice. She was not looking at me, only staring straight at my burn.

My stomach sank to the soles of my feet. She knew. How long does one take to die of shame. I slid the dagger back into my pocket and quickly began my retreat. "Wait!" Leona exclaimed, grabbing my arm a little to close to the burn for comfort. I hissed in pain again, palm flattening out. She tugged at my hand, gently this time. Lifting my right palm to her face, she stared straight into my blue eyes. "What's this,Diana?" I flinched visibly and my hard gaze wavered. I began praying to the Moon for help. Behind her, tendrils of moonlight began snaking out. They got to her leg and began twisting around her ankles, holding her in place. "Hey!" She cried, releasing my hand in surprise. Freed,I bolted from the field, clutching my hand to my chest, running away from her for the second time that day.

After that,I avoided her like a plague. I turned to the opposite direction as soon as I felt the Sun's power licking at my skin. It was around the wee hours of morning did I dare to venture out into the Moon's embrace again. I was more careful this time, making sure nobody followed me. The bunny was waiting for me when I got to the field."Hey little one!" I cooed as I picked it up. My burn had finally healed, all that was left of it was a huge scar. I laid down on the grass again and fell asleep, lulled by the swaying breeze that licked at my toes every now and then. When I awoke, the bunny was still curled up next to my cheek. However,I noticed that the dry grass that I had slept on felt very different. It was only then did I smell sunflowers. I bolted upright, only to be forced back down by warm, tan arms.

"Shit..." I cursed, frustrated at my negligence again. Leona's brown eyes stared challengingly back into mine.

"What do you want..." I deadpanned, knowing I was trapped. In truth,my emotions were jumbled up again and it took all my self control to maintain eye contact. Leona leaned down and I automatically stiffened. She brushed her lips against my scar and murmured." You got this while trying to protect me?" I snorted,"Don't flatter yourself Solari. I was distracted, that's how I got hit." Leona straightened and stared at me again. "By me?" She coyly smiled. "No! Of cource not!" I growled. She relased my arms and I was shocked that I made no move to escape. "Your eyelids are twitching. That always happens when you're lying." My eyes widened. She remembers?

I defiantly glared back."That does not mean anything Solari." I huffed as I stood up,only to be yanked down again. "What do you-Mph!"Whatever I was about to say were kicked right out the window when she slammed her lips on mine. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. I tried summoning the Moon's power but the Sun,no doubt bending to her will, gradually overpowered me. She broke off when the need for air became too great. "What is your problem!" I shouted at her, panting hard, pale cheeks crimson. "You are my problem!" She shouted back and all the insults died in my throat. There were tears in her eyes and I frowned. Leona should never cry. It never looked good on her, even when we were younger.

I was about to reach out when I felt the Sun's power poke me. You are right, this is wrong. I thought. Standing up,I took the sobbing avatar's arm and pulled her to her feet. "Stop crying Solari,it never looked good on you." I mumbled but I was quite sure she heard it. Sniffing,Leona pulled me towards her and enveloped me in a huge hug, much like the ones she used to give me in the past. "I love you Diana..."She whispered into my ear. My face flushed a dark red as I stared straight back at her. "I...I...I" I mumbled, eyes downcast. It was as if we went back to the past. When I was not consumed by hate, when we were just 2 girls sitting side by side on the roof of the Solari temple, watching the sunset. When everything was perfect.

"I love you too,Leona,my Radiant Dawn."
